The 1947-48 Polska Liga Hokejowa season was the 13th season of the Polska Liga Hokejowa, the top level of ice hockey in Poland. 16 teams were set to participate in the playoffs, but the season was cancelled after only several games due to a mild winter. KS Cracovia, which was considered the best Polish club at the time, was named champions by the Polish Federation.

University Clinical Hospital in Białystok is a university hospital and the largest medical facility in Podlaskie Voivodeship, a province located in north-eastern Poland. has 26 clinics with 836 beds, where over 36,000 are treated annually. There are also 30 Specialist Outpatient Facilities within the hospital. Outpatient clinics are closely related to clinics and carry out specialist diagnostic and therapeutic activities on an outpatient basis. In total, over 2.5 thousand employees are employed there, of them 760 doctors and over 800 nurses. Approximately 55,000 patients are hospitalized at the UMB Clinical Hospital yearly, and approximately 203,000 patients are provided with consultations.

Ludwig Zamenhoff University Children Clinical Hospital in Białystok is a children hospital located in the Piaski district in Bialystok, the capital of Podlaskie Voivodeship. The hospital is the largest children's hospital in north-eastern Poland. It contains 15 clinics and departments, trauma center for children, emergency ward, over 350 beds, over 250 doctors and more than 400 nurses. In 2018 it treated about 20,000 patients in hospitalization as well as 120,000 in specialist clinics.
