Because Cyprus has no working railway system, various other methods of transport are needed to ensure the proper delivery of any cargo, be it human or freight. Since the last railway was dismantled in 1952, the only remaining modes of transport are by road, by sea, and by air.

The 1992 UEFA European Under-16 Championship was the tenth edition of UEFA's European Under-16 Football Championship. Cyprus hosted the championship, during 7–17 May 1992. 16 teams entered the competition, and Germany won their second title, their first after their reunification.
Parliamentary elections were held in Cyprus in 1960. The House of Representatives was elected on 31 July 1960. The Communal Chambers were also elected on 7 August. In the House of Representatives 35 seats were elected by Greek Cypriots and 15 by Turkish Cypriots. The result was a victory for the Patriotic Front, which won 30 of the 50 seats. In the Communal Chambers, the Patriotic Front won the majority of seats in the Greek Chamber, whilst the Cyprus Turkish National Union won all seats in the Turkish Chamber.
The 2012–13 season is Omonia's 58th season in the Cypriot First Division and 64th year in existence as a football club. The pre-season tour this season took part once again in Poland. During the two weeks in Opalenica, Omonia will be playing four friendly games. Later on, the Greens are playing their debut game at GSP Stadium against Doxa Katokopia. Their last test before the season starts will be against Willem II in GSP Stadium on 27 July. The European journey starts a less than week later when the team enters the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League third qualifying round. The league kick-off's in September when newcome Ayia Napa visits Nicosia for a tough clash. In the beginning of 2013, the team enters Cypriot Cup second round.
The 2013–14 Cypriot Cup was the 72nd edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 30 clubs entered the competition. It began on 23 October 2013 with the first round and concluded on 21 May 2014 with the final which was held at GSP Stadium. APOEL won their 20th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Ermis Aradippou 2–0 in the final.

Mix FM is a Cypriot radio station in Strovolos, Nicosia, Cyprus. It started broadcasting on 23 February 2002 via 102.3 FM in Nicosia, Paphos, Larnaca, Famagusta and 90.8 FM in Limassol.
