Gino Strada, one of the organization's co-founders, served as EMERGENCY's Executive Director. It operates on the premise that access to high-quality healthcare is a fundamental human right.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Lahij</span> City in Yemen

Lahij or Lahej, formerly called Al-Hawtah, is a city and an area located between Ta'izz and Aden in Yemen. From the 18th to the 20th century, its rulers were of the Abdali branch of the Al-Sallami tribe who trace their lineage to one of the 10 tribes of Yaffa called Kalad. Lahij was the capital city of the Sultanate of Lahej, a protectorate of the British Empire until 1967, when the sultan was expelled and the city became a part of People's Republic of South Yemen. When Yemen Arab Republic and South Yemen merged on 22 May 1990, Lahij became part of the Republic of Yemen.

New Karachi Town lies in the northern-eastern part of Karachi, in Gulberg Town. It was formed when katchi abadis were resettled following the 1958 coup d'état. In 2001 it was subdivided into 13 union councils. The town system was disbanded in 2011, and New Karachi Town was re-organized as part of Karachi Central District in 2015. New Karachi Town has a population 1,166,742 as of 2023 Pakistani census.

Ibn Sina Hospital is a hospital in Baghdad, Iraq which was opened by four Iraqi doctors – Modafar Al Shather, Kadim Shubar, Kasim Abdul Majeed and Clement Serkis – in 1964. It was purchased for a fraction of its true value by the Iraqi government for use by Saddam Hussein, his family and the Baath Party elite. Uday Hussein was hospitalized there after being wounded in a failed assassination attempt in 1997.

Baghdad Medical City formerly known as Saddam Medical City (1983–2003) and before that known as Medical City Teaching Hospital (1973–1983) is a complex of several teaching hospitals in Bab Al-Moatham, Baghdad, Iraq. The complex stands where the former Garden of Ridván of Baghdad was.

Arab Medical Center (AMC) is a community hospital located in Amman, Jordan. In November 2019, the hospital celebrated its Silver Jubilee (25 years of operations), with a massive marketing campaign that involved room renovations, introduction of the new Cath. Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College or GMMMC in short is the sixth public sector Medical college under the Government of Sindh where 100 students of Sukkur, Khairpur and Ghotki are getting education every year. It is named after Sindh politician Ghulam Muhammad Khan Mahar.
