Transportation in Lebanon varies greatly in quality from the ultramodern Beirut International Airport to poor road conditions in many parts of the country. The Lebanese civil war between 1975 and 1990 and the 2006 Lebanon War with Israel severely damaged the country's infrastructure.
The nine governorates of Lebanon are subdivided into 25 districts. Beirut Governorate is not subdivided into districts, and Akkar Governorate comprises a single district.
The Marada Movement is a Lebanese political party and a former militia active during the Lebanese Civil War named after the legendary Marada warriors of the early Middle Ages that fought on the external edge of the Byzantine Empire. Originally designated the Marada Brigade, the group initially emerged as the personal militia of Suleiman Frangieh, president of Lebanon at the outbreak of the war in 1975, which also had a Parliamentary wing known as the Frangieh Bloc. They were also initially known as the Zgharta Liberation Army, after Frangieh's hometown of Zgharta in northern Lebanon.

Byblos District, also called the Jbeil District, is a district (qadaa) of the Keserwan-Jbeil Governorate of Lebanon. It is located to the northeast of Lebanon's capital Beirut. The capital is Byblos. The rivers of al-Madfoun and Nahr Ibrahim form the district's natural northern and southern borders respectively, with the Mediterranean Sea bordering it from the west and Mount Lebanon from the east, separating it from the adjacent district of Baalbek in the Beqaa Valley.

This place holds significant historical importance due to the presence of well-preserved archaeological remains, specifically a Roman aqueduct.

The Lebanese Arab Army – LAA (Arabic: جيش لبنان العربي transliteration Jayish Lubnan al-Arabi), also known variously as the Arab Army of Lebanon (AAL) and Arab Lebanese Army or Armée arabe du Liban (AAL) in French, was a predominantly Muslim splinter faction of the Lebanese Army that came to play a key role in the 1975–77 phase of the Lebanese Civil War.
The 2013–14 Lebanese Premier League is the 53rd season of top-tier football in Lebanon. A total of twelve teams are competing in the league, with Safa the defending champions. The season kicked off on 21 September 2013 and will finish around June 2014.
Greater Beirut is the urban agglomeration comprising the city of Beirut and the adjacent municipalities over the Mount Lebanon Governorate. It does not constitute a single administrative unit. The 2021–22 Lebanese FA Cup was the 49th edition of the national football cup competition of Lebanon. It started with the round of 16 on 16 December 2021, and ended on 11 June 2022 with the final.
