In Australia, to be registered as a psychologist by the Psychology Board of Australia, one has to satisfy either of the following criteria:
Prior to 30 June 2022, a third pathway was available for new applicants wanting to become a registered psychologist in Australia, it was called the "4+2 pathway" and consisted of four years of university education followed by two years of supervised practice and passing the NPE. [2]
