This article is a list of race tracks in Norway for auto racing and other types of motorsport, for example within road racing, kart racing, folkrace, rallycross, crosskart, hillclimbing, drag racing, off-road, motocross, supercross, supermoto and enduro.

Contents

As of 2020 there are four race tracks in Norway with a FIA grade 3 approval, and which therefore can host category 2 races:

Most car racing tracks are operated by clubs associated to Norges Bilsportforbund, either via Norsk Motor Klubb or Kongelig Norsk Automobilklub. Many other forms of racing are operated by clubs associated with Norges Motorsportforbund.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Rallycross</span> Form of sprint style automobile racing

Rallycross is a form of sprint style automobile racing, held on a closed mixed-surface racing circuit, with modified production or specially built road cars, similar to the World Rally Cars. It is mainly popular in the Nordic countries, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Great Britain. An inexpensive, entry level type of rallycross is the Swedish folkrace or its Norwegian counterpart, the so-called bilcross. The folkrace is most popular in Finland where it was founded back in the late 1960s. In Europe, rallycross can also refer to racing 1:8 scale off-road radio-controlled buggies.

Folk racing or folkrace is a popular, inexpensive, and entry-level form of Nordic rallycross that originally comes from Finland, where it is also called jokkis or Jokamiehenluokka.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Keimola Motor Stadium</span> Former motor racing track in Vantaa, Finland

The Keimola Motor Stadium was a dedicated race track located in Vantaa, Finland. It was founded by Finnish racing driver Curt Lincoln after the closure of the Eläintarha track in 1963. Construction started in 1965 and the track was opened on 12 June 1966. The track was 3.300 km (2.051 mi) long, consisting of eight turns and a 1 km (0.62 mi) home straight. Multiple racing series, including Formula Two, Formula Vee and Interserie, raced on the track during the years it was used. After many years of financial difficulties, the track was abandoned in late 1978. For many years of decay, there are plans to transform it into a residential area.

Leangen Travbane is a harness racing course located at Leangen in Trondheim, Norway. The race course is owned by the Norwegian Trotting Association and its parimutuel betting is handled by Norsk Rikstoto. Through this arrangement it is the only equine tote betting establishment in Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal.

Lånkebanen is a road racing circuit situated near Hell in Lånke, Stjørdal, Norway. The venue opened in 1987 as the first asphalt track in the country. It is used for a variety of motorsports, including rallycross, go-kart and motorcycle racing. The venue also features a designated hillclimbing and a motocross track on the slopes below, and a harness racing oval. Lånkebanen is owned by the Norwegian Automobile Federation (NAF).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Gimsøy (municipality)</span> Former municipality in Norway

Gimsøy is a former municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The 187-square-kilometre (72 sq mi) municipality existed from 1856 until its dissolution in 1964. It was located in the northwestern part of what is now Vågan Municipality. The municipality consisted mainly of the island of Gimsøya as well as the western part of the larger neighboring island of Austvågøya. The municipalities also included 407 other small islands as well as hundreds of little islets and skerries, all of which are located in the Lofoten archipelago. The administrative centre was located at the village of Gimsøysand, where the Gimsøy Church is located.

Motorcenter Norway, formerly known as KNA Raceway Sokndal, is a motorsport center and race track in the mountains at Kroheia in Sokndal, Norway, south in Rogaland county near the border of Agder county.
