Most schools in Kuwait are public schools which educate in the Arabic language. There are, however, a few schools which run under Indian Central Board of Secondary Education, British, American and French systems, or a combination of languages.

Jaber al-Ahmad International Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the Ardhiyah area of Kuwait City, Kuwait. Completed in 2009, it is used mostly for football matches and athletics. The stadium has a capacity of 60,000 seated spectators, the building is constructed in 4 levels, with 54 corporate boxes and a parking lot with a 6,001-car capacity. It was expected to open in the second quarter of 2010, but the building failed structural-integrity testing and remained closed for nearly half a decade due to a miscalculation by structural engineers. It was finally opened on 18 December 2015. Jaber Al-Ahmad stadium is currently the new home of the Kuwait national football team.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Rumaithiya</span> Area in Hawalli, Kuwait

Rumaithiya is a mainly-residential area in Hawalli governorate and a suburb of Kuwait City. It is divided into twelve blocks. The population of Rumaithiya was 58,127, according to the June 2023 estimate by the Public Authority for Civil Information. A significant proportion of Rumaithiya's residents are Shia Muslims. Rumaithiya is a major and famous suburb of Kuwait City, and is often employed in jokes and references.

Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh or Jileeb Al-Shiyukh, often shortened to just Jilīb/Jileeb (الجليب), is one of the oldest and most congested areas in Kuwait. It is located within Farwaniya Governorate and borders Kuwait International Airport. It is largely inhabited by expatriates from countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Egypt and Syria. There are even many Dawoodi Bohras residing in Jleeb-Al-Shuyoukh

Kuwait is divided into six governorates, and in each there are several areas. Areas are much less commonly called by other names such as districts or towns. However they are commonly known inside the English-speaking community in Kuwait as, and are officially translated as, areas. The Arabic word for area, Mintaqah, can mean both mean area and region. Areas are further subdivided into blocks, each of which is refereed by to a number. All blocks are divided into streets (شوارع). However, some areas may be further subdivided into جادات Jaddāt, which might be translated to avenue or lane.

Gulf English School Kuwait (GES) is a private, co-educational, international school that is currently located in the suburb of Salmiya, Kuwait. The school has a selective intake of students aged 4–18. Most teaching programmes are based on the National Curriculum of England. Year 10 and 11 within exception of fast-track year 9 students undertake programmes of study leading to GCSE and IGCSE. Sixth form students work towards Edexcel AS and A Level examinations.
