Jakarta, officially the Special Region of Jakarta and formerly known as Batavia until 1949, is the financial centre and largest city of Indonesia. Lying on the northwest coast of Java, the world's most populous island, Jakarta is the largest metropole in Southeast Asia, and serves as the diplomatic capital of ASEAN. Jakarta is bordered by two provinces: West Java to the south and east; and Banten to the west. Its coastline faces the Java Sea to the north, and it shares a maritime border with Lampung to the west. Jakarta's metropolitan area is ASEAN's second largest economy after Singapore.
Depok (Pegon:ديڤوك) is a landlocked city in West Java province. It is located directly south of Jakarta within the Jakarta Metropolitan Area in Indonesia. It has an area of 199.91 km2. It had a population of 1,738,600 at the 2010 census and 2,056,400 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 2,145,400, resulting in a density of 10,731.8 people per km2. Depok was created as a separate city on 20 April 1999, having previously been part of Bogor Regency. It constitutes the second most populous suburban city in Indonesia, and the tenth most populous suburban city globally.
The Jakarta metropolitan area or Greater Jakarta, known locally as Jabodetabek, and sometimes extended to Jabodetabekjur, or Jabodetabekpunjur (further extended to include Puncak and the some part of Cianjur Regency, is the most populous megapolitan area in Indonesia. It includes the national capital as well as five satellite cities and three complete regencies. The original term "Jabotabek" dated from the late 1970s and was revised to "Jabodetabek" in 1999 when "De" was inserted into the name following its formation. The term "Jabodetabekjur" or "Jabodetabekpunjur" was legalised on the Presidential Regulation Number 54 of 2008, although the name Jabodetabek is more commonly used.
Tangerang is a city in the province of Banten, Indonesia. Located on the western border of Jakarta, it is the third largest urban centre in the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area after Jakarta and Bekasi; the sixth largest city proper in the nation; and the largest city in Banten province. It has an area of 164.55 km2 (63.53 sq mi) and an official 2010 Census population of 1,798,601, which had risen to 1,895,486 at the 2020 Census – making it the eighth most populated suburb in the world at the latter date; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 1,912,679 - comprising 961,354 males and 951,325 females.

Bekasi is a city in West Java, Indonesia, located on the eastern border of Jakarta. It serves as a commuter city within the Jakarta metropolitan area. According to the 2020 Census by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Bekasi had 2,543,676 inhabitants. The official estimate for mid 2023 was 2,627,207 - comprising 1,320,682 males and 1,306,525 females. It lies within the largest metropolitan area in Indonesia (Jabodetabek). The city is bordered by Bekasi Regency to the north and the east, Bogor Regency and Depok City to the south, and the city of East Jakarta to the west.
Glodok is an urban village of Taman Sari, West Jakarta, Indonesia. The area is also known as Pecinan or Chinatown since the Dutch colonial era, and is considered the biggest in Indonesia. Majority of the traders and residents of Glodok are Chinese descent. The area dates back to colonial times when in November 1740, the Dutch East Indies Company designated Glodok as a residential area for ethnic Chinese. Administratively, the area is a kelurahan under the Taman Sari district, West Jakarta.
East Jakarta is the largest of the five administrative cities which form the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Indonesia. It had a population of 2,693,896 at the 2010 Census and 3,037,139 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 3,083,883, making it the most populous of the five administrative cities within Jakarta. East Jakarta is not self-governed and does not have a city council, hence it is not classified as a proper municipality.

South Tangerang is a city in the province of Banten, Indonesia. Located 30 km (19 mi) on the southwestern border of Jakarta, the city forms part of the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area. It was administratively separated from Tangerang Regency on 26 November 2008. According to the 2020 Census, the city population was 1,354,350 inhabitants, while the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 1,404,785 - comprising 700,754 males and 704,031 females. The total area is 164.85 km2 (63.65 sq mi). It is the second-largest city in Banten in terms of population, and has grown rapidly, not only as Jakarta's satellite city, but also the development of business districts and commerce due to presence of large-scale planned town by private developers.
Koperasi Angkutan Jakarta or Kopaja was a cooperative established in 1971 to provide public transport services in Jakarta. There were reportedly over 1,400 minibuses in the Kopaja fleet in mid-2012, more than half of which were estimated to be over 20 years old.
Sinar Mas Land is an Indonesian real estate development company, which is a subsidiary of Sinar Mas Group. It combines two big developers, Bumi Serpong Damai and Duta Pertiwi. It formed in 1988 under the flag of Duta Pertiwi. It now holds substantial interests in a businesses including residential housing, apartments, shopping centers, hotels, office buildings, industrial estates, townships and cities. Its head office building, designed by Aedas, is located in the BSD Green Office Park in Jakarta and received a high commendation under Indonesia’s office architecture at Asia Pacific Property Awards 2014.
The MetroMini minibus system was a major part of the public transport system of Jakarta. There were reportedly over 3,000 buses in the MetroMini fleet in mid-2012. The buses are similar to the parallel Kopaja system which also provides transport services, on different routes, across Jakarta. The distinctive MetroMini buses are orange and blue with a white stripe running along the length of the bus. Buses provide seating for around 20-30 people with, often, an equal number crammed into limited standing room so the buses are often overcrowded. But at 2015 Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama stopped all of MetroMini's bus operations because of a MetroMini vs KRL Commuter Line crash. If MetroMini wants to operate again, it has to join Transjakarta like the Kopaja as a feeder bus. Many routes are/will replaced/replaced by Minitrans and Metrotrans buses.

Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto(Gatot Subroto Avenue) is one of the major roads in Jakarta, Indonesia. The road starts from Dirgantara statue in South Jakarta, which crosses 10 administrative villages and ends at Slipi, Central Jakarta. The road is named after National Hero of Indonesia General Gatot Subroto. The road was constructed in 1960s. The road runs parallel with Jakarta Inner Ring Road. The location of the road is within the Golden Triangle CBD of Jakarta. Many important office buildings and skyscrapers are situated along the road.
Bintaro Jaya is a planned township located in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. It is developed by PT Jaya Real Property Tbk. The development of the township began within South Jakarta in 1979 and is expanded further to South Tangerang in Banten province. The township is built as a satellite city for Jakarta, with a total land area of about 1000 hectares. The name Bintaro is derived from the Bintaro Village, which also takes the name of Bintaro plant, whereas Jaya came from the name of the developer.
Mangga Dua is a shopping district at Pademangan subdistrict of North Jakarta, in Indonesia. The area is bordered by Jalan Gajah Mada in the west and Jalan Gunung Sahari in the east, while in the middle is Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta and Jalan Mangga Dua Raya. Mangga Dua is part of Jakarta's long history starting from Sunda Kelapa port and Glodok, which is biggest China town in Indonesia. The area is one of the 12 coastal tourism spots to attract foreign tourists by Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan. Mangga Dua and the contiguous Glodok are one of the biggest shopping areas in southeast Asia.
Sukmajaya is an administrative district in the city of Depok, in West Java province, Indonesia, within the Jakarta metropolitan area. It covers an area of 17.35 km2 and had a population of 232,308 at the 2010 Census; the latest official estimate is 311,379. It is one of the most densely populated areas in Depok. Many housing areas and educational institutions are located in this district. Moreover Depok Dua Tengah and Depok Dua Timur are also located within the district. In addition, Pesona Square shopping mall is located in this district.
