Depok is a city in West Java province, and located within Jakarta metropolitan area in Indonesia. It has an area of 200.29 km2. At the 2015 census, it had a population of 2,099,989; the latest official estimate is 2,484,186 people, resulting in a density of 12,403 people/km2. Depok was declared as a separate city on 20 April, 1999, having previously been part of Bogor Regency.

Gading Serpong is a township, 21 km west of Jakarta at Kelapa Dua, Tangerang Regency of Banten province in Indonesia. Total land area of this satellite city is about 1500 hectares, which was being first developed by PT Summarecon Agung as Summarecon Serpong. In 1993, Keris Group in-cooperated with the development and the name was changed as Gading Serpong. Later Paramount Land also joined the project. To accelerate development in 2004, partners of the project decided to develop the Gading Serpong region individually, with a share of approximately equal shares.
