The Speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature is the legislative speaker and principal presiding officer in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature (until 1995 called the Eastern Transvaal Provincial Legislature). The Speaker chairs the legislature's rules committee and other political management structures.
The Speaker and Deputy Speaker are elected from among the Members of the Provincial Legislature and may be removed by a resolution of the legislature. [1] Their election and powers are regulated by Chapter Six of the South African Constitution.

The Legislative Assembly of Ontario is the legislative chamber of the Canadian province of Ontario. Its elected members are known as Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs). Bills passed by the Legislative Assembly are given royal assent by the lieutenant governor of Ontario to become law. Together, the Legislative Assembly and Lieutenant Governor make up the unicameral Legislature of Ontario. The assembly meets at the Ontario Legislative Building at Queen's Park in the provincial capital of Toronto.
Suhla James Masango is a South African politician who represented the Democratic Alliance (DA) in the National Assembly and Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature between 2004 and 2019. Since 2021, he has been a local councillor for the DA in Mpumalanga's Govan Mbeki Municipality. Masango was a deputy chairperson of the DA Federal Council from November 2020 to April 2023 and is a former provincial leader of the party's Mpumalanga branch.

Amos Fish Mahlalela is a South African politician from Mpumalanga. He has been the Deputy Minister of Tourism since May 2019 and has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly since May 2014. In June 2023, he was additionally elected as the Provincial Chairperson of the ANC Veterans' League in Mpumalanga.
Refilwe Maria Tsipane, known as Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane, is a South African politician and a party member of the African National Congress (ANC), who has served as the 7th Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces since 2024. Prior to serving in parliament, she served as the 5th Premier of Mpumalanga between 2018 and 2024. She succeeded former Premier David Mabuza after he was appointed Deputy President of South Africa. Mtsweni-Tsipane was also a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature and previously served as the MEC for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs.
Makgabo Reginah Mhaule is a South African politician from Mpumalanga who is currently serving as Deputy Minister of Basic Education. She has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly since 2018.
Raesetja Jane Sithole is a South African politician. She has been serving as a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature since May 2014. Sithole is also the Provincial Leader of the Mpumalanga Democratic Alliance.
Busisiwe Paulina "Busi" Shiba is a South African politician who is the current Mpumalanga MEC for Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs. She previously served as the Mpumalanga MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs from 2021 to 2022, as the Speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature from 2019 to 2021 and as the MEC for Social Development from 2016 to 2019. Shiba is a member of the African National Congress (ANC).
Annerie Maria Magdalena Weber is a South African politician who serves as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. A member of the Democratic Alliance, she was elected to Parliament in May 2019. As of April 2023, she is the Shadow Deputy Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment. Weber served as the chairperson of the DA's caucus in the Nkangala District Municipality between 2015 and 2019.
Bonakele Amos Majuba is a South African politician and educator who has served as the MEC for Education in Mpumalanga since May 2019. A member of the African National Congress, he has been a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature since May 2009. Majuba was the deputy speaker of the provincial legislature between March 2018 and May 2019.
James Jim "JJ" Skosana was a South African politician. A member of the African National Congress, he served in the South African National Assembly from May 2009 to February 2018, when he became a member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature. In March 2021 Skosana was elected as the deputy speaker of the provincial legislature.
Violet Sizani Siwela was a South African politician from Mpumalanga. She was a Member of the National Assembly, where she chaired the Portfolio Committee on Small Business Development, and a member of the National Executive Committee of the African National Congress (ANC). She served in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature until May 2019.
Dina Deliwe Pule is a South African politician who represents the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly of South Africa. She has been the Deputy Secretary-General of the ANC Women's League since July 2023. Before that, she was Minister of Communications under President Jacob Zuma from October 2011 to July 2013.
Blessing Thandi Shongwe is a South African politician who is currently serving as Mpumalanga's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Culture, Sport and Recreation. She formerly served as Speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature from 2014 until March 2018, when she was first appointed to the Mpumalanga Executive Council. She is a member of the African National Congress (ANC).
Michael Collen Sedibe is a South African politician who is currently a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature and the provincial leader of the legislature's official opposition party, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). He joined the EFF in 2013 after he was expelled from the African National Congress and he was first elected to the provincial legislature in the 2014 general election. In September 2022, he was elected to a third term as the EFF's Provincial Chairperson in Mpumalanga.
Makhosazane Christine Masilela is a South African politician who has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature since 2019. She was appointed Speaker of the Provincial Legislature in March 2021.
Boy Johannes Nobunga is a South African politician and civil servant from Mpumalanga. Between 1994 and 2009, he represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature and both houses of Parliament.
