Among them Sukkur City and New Sukkur are urban centres, while Pano Aqil is famous for having one of the largest military cantonments of the country. Rohri is the smallest tehsil of Sukkur District, both in area and population, but it has an important railway junction. Two districts have been split off from the territory of Sukkur: Shikarpur in 1977 and Ghotki in 1993.

Dadu District, is a district of Sindh Province, Pakistan. With headquarters the city of Dadu, the district was created in 1931 by merging Kotri and Mahal Kohistan tehsils from Karachi District and Mehar, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Dadu, Johi and Sehwan tehsils from Larkana District. In 2004, several talukas in the south were split off to create the new Jamshoro District. Its boundary touches with four districts of Sindh i.e. Jamshoro, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad and Kamber Shahdadkot.

The Talpur dynasty were rulers based in Sindh, a region of present-day Pakistan. Four branches of the dynasty were established following the defeat of the Kalhora dynasty at the Battle of Halani in 1783: one ruled lower Sindh from the city of Hyderabad, another ruled over upper Sindh from the city of Khairpur, a third ruled around the eastern city of Mirpur Khas, and a fourth was based in Tando Muhammad Khan. The Talpurs were ethnically Baloch.

<i>Awam Express</i>

Awam Express is a suspended passenger train operated daily by Pakistan Railways between Karachi and Peshawar. It is one of the longest continuous running passenger trains in Pakistan. Pakistan Railways didn't resume its operation after suspending during the 2022 flood. The trip took approximately 33 hours and 30 minutes to cover a published distance of 1,721 kilometres (1,069 mi), traveling along the entire stretch of the Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line.

Fareed Express is a passenger train operated daily by Pakistan Railways between Karachi and Lahore. The trip takes approximately 26 hours and 45 minutes to cover a published distance of 1,214 kilometres (754 mi), traveling along a stretch of the Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line and Lodhran–Raiwind Branch Line. The train named after Baba Fareed Shakar Ganj, a famous Sufi saint and Punjabi poet who lived in Pakpattan between 1173–1266.

Nawabshah Junction Railway Station is located in the city of Nawabshah on main railway line in Pakistan. It is a major railway station of Pakistan Railways and was the junction of Nawabshah-Tando Adam loop and Nawabshah-Mirpur Khas meter gauge railway lines. It is the stop of almost all Express trains. The station is staffed and has advance and current reservation offices. Food stalls are also located on it platforms.

The Huqooq-e-Sindh March was a 2022 protest march against the provincial Sindh Government of Sindh, Pakistan. Inaugurated by PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the march started on February 26 at the Shaheed commune in Ghotki near the Sindh–Punjab border, and ended on March 6 in Karachi.
