Live V is Isis's fifth live release. This live album is unique for Isis in that it is a soundboard recording taken from a single live performance. The show was performed on July 23, 2006, at Koko's in London for All Tomorrow's Parties' Don't Look Back series of concerts, where artists are invited to perform one of their albums in its entirety. Isis were asked to perform Oceanic. [1]

Contents

As with the rest of the live series, the CD version was self-released, [2] while the album was released on vinyl by Viva Hate Records. [3] Along with all Isis' other live albums, it is set to be re-released on July 26, 2011 in digital format, almost a full year after Isis' dissolution. Isis was an American post-metal band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1997. The band borrowed from and helped to evolve the post-metal sound pioneered by bands such as Neurosis and Godflesh, characterized by lengthy songs focusing on repetition and evolution of structure. Isis's last studio album, Wavering Radiant, was released on May 5, 2009. Isis disbanded in June 2010, just before the release of a split EP with the Melvins. In 2018, the group reformed as Celestial for a one-off show to pay tribute to Caleb Scofield.

SGNL›05 2001 EP by Isis

SGNL›05 is an EP released by Isis which acts as an extension to their earlier full-length album Celestial, as the tracks were all directly culled from the Celestial recording sessions. The Red Sea (EP) 1999 EP by Isis

The Red Sea is an EP by Isis. An expansion of the sound pioneered on their previous release Mosquito Control, this EP offers a slight evolution toward the direction Isis would begin to take with their first full length, Celestial. The three songs which make up the original EP are tied together with spoken word samples from the short-lived television series Hotel Room. The song "Ochre" contains a sample from the film Dead Man by Jim Jarmusch, and is a reading of a portion of William Blake's poem "Auguries of Innocence".

The vinyl run of this release was limited to 250 copies. As such, Aaron Turner doesn't consider this an 'official' Isis release, describing it as “more like a special artifact for us and the few converts we had at the time”.
