The Lord family's estate is called Llanfair.
Llanview is the home of Llanview University and the conglomerate Buchanan Enterprises. Town media is owned by the Lord family, with preeminent local newspaper The Banner owned and run by Victoria Lord. The Banner's rival publication is The Sun, run by Viki's half-brother Todd Manning.
