Love and Glamour is a women's eau de toilette fragrance endorsed by American entertainer Jennifer Lopez.
Lopez released her first signature perfume, Glow by JLo, in 2002; it went on to become the second-highest-selling fragrance in the United States. [1] With this, she became a pioneer for the celebrity endorsement of perfume, and influenced various other celebrities to follow the trend. By the time of Love and Glamour's release in October 2010, Lopez's fragrances had taken in over $1 billion worldwide. [2]
In an interview with Women's Wear Daily , Lopez explained the inspiration behind the perfume:
What I always like to do is look at where I am in my life at the moment. [Here] it was right after the babies and was when I was getting back to work and getting back to what I do again. It just felt like a time of a lot of love and that seemed very romantic to me — I said it seems like love and glamour. [3]
Lopez worked side by side with Coty, Inc. to create the signature fragrance blend of Love and Glamour, [4] and was heavily involved in the creation process. [5]
I drive [Coty] a little bit crazy, because it's always not signature enough. I go back and say things like, 'Can we push the sandalwood a little bit more, can we make a tiny bit more sexy?' To translate that into actual chemistry is a difficult thing. Then they go back and say, 'What does she mean by sexy?' And I'm like, 'You know if you [take] that little piece that smells a little bit like wood but has a little bit of musk? But I just want you to add a little bit of sweetness. Can you do that for me?' And then I think we are in the right direction. And then they come with one or two variations and I say, 'No, that's not it.' It's a long process. [6]
According to Lopez, creating the scent was the most difficult part of the process, as compared to putting together the packaging and the marketing campaign. [7]
Love and Glamour has top notes of Italian mandarin, guava and peach flesh; heart notes of coconut, orange blossom and jasmine petals; and base notes of sandalwood, musk and amber. [8] Lopez hoped to create "a combination that people have never smelled before". [7]
Love and Glamour's bottle was designed by Lopez with the aid of designer Jon DiNapoli. [9] It is shaped to resemble "a woman wearing an elegant gown", [8] and was described by Alessandra Greco of Vogue as curvy, sexy and seductive. [8]
Love and Glamour made its debut at a Macy's department store in New York City on September 11, 2010. [10] A promotional website was launched that allowed online viewers to unlock an exclusive behind-the-scenes film noir style video clip of Lopez. [11] The campaign for the scent was shot by photographer Craig McDean on a movie set, with Lopez's hair and make up styled to match a classic film star. [3] [11]

J.Lo by Jennifer Lopez is an American lifestyle brand founded by Jennifer Lopez. Since the release of her debut fragrance Glow in 2001, the line expandeded to include clothing, watches, accessories, bedding and perfume, becoming a huge success in the United States and international markets.

It was conceived as far back as 1998 when Lopez announced a lifestyle line that would include a fragrance. Contradictory to assumptions that it would be unsuccessful, it performed extremely well, becoming America's top-selling fragrance. Glow Industries filed a lawsuit against Lopez and Coty to not use the term "Glow", however, a judge denied their request. Along with products from Lopez's fashion and lifestyle line, it brought in over $300 million by 2004. Subsequently, Glow became a successful woman's fragrance line.
Heat is a perfume endorsed by Beyoncé. It was created by her alongside Claude Dir and Olivier Gillotin of the company Givaudan. The product, which was released on February 3, 2010, uses the tagline "catch the fever". The release was promoted with a cover version of "Fever" recorded by Beyoncé and a limited edition extended play (EP) also titled Heat. She also appeared at Macy's Herald Square to launch the perfume and on The Today Show where she discussed about Heat.
S by Shakira is the first woman's fragrance by Colombian singer songwriter Shakira. Developing an interest in perfumery and scents, Shakira signed an agreement with international fashion company Puig to create a line of beauty and personal care products. S by Shakira is an amber perfume which combines scents of various exotic sources like sambac jasmine, sandalwood, and vanilla. The bottle of the perfume is made of treated glass which reflects light at different angles; it does not have a cap and instead utilises a key-like mechanism to stop the flow of the perfume. Shakira launched S by Shakira at a press release in Madrid, Spain, in June 2010, and it was sent to retail stores in September 2010. Critics praised the scent of S by Shakira, but there was criticism regarding the design of the bottle. It was nominated for a FiFi Award in 2011.

The fragrance contains notes of sake, mandarin, earl grey, pink freesia, honeysuckle, orange flower, sandalwood, amber and orris. Still Jennifer Lopez followed in the footsteps of Glow by JLo, an international success that shaped the fragrance industry and began a trend in the celebrity endorsement of fragrance. The release of Still Jennifer Lopez was not anticipated due to the negative publicity generated from Lopez's film Gigli (2003) and a fall-out with her manager Benny Medina. Several fragrance industry experts noted that it could ruin the success of Glow by JLo. It was also noted that her public image at the time would have irreparable effects on the fragrance's performance.
Lady Gaga Fame is the first fragrance created by American singer Lady Gaga. A unisex fragrance, it was released in Guggenheim Museum and in Macy's stores in the United States and a range of different stores in the United Kingdom on August 22, 2012, and worldwide in September through the singer's Haus Laboratories label in association with Coty, Inc. According to promotional materials, the perfume uses "push-pull technology", rather than the pyramidal structure traditional of perfumes, to combine notes of atropa belladonna, tiger orchid, incense, apricot, saffron and honey. Glowing by JLo is a women's fragrance endorsed by American entertainer Jennifer Lopez. It was created by Givaudan's Calice Becker and Caroline Sabas. It was released through Coty on May 10, 2012. It was released ten years after her initial fragrance, Glow by JLo (2002) and was also in turn her tenth anniversary with Coty. Prior to its release, Lopez called it a homage and the "evolution of Glow". The bottle was noted for lighting up when in use and Lopez has promoted the fragrance through her music video for "Dance Again".
Ambition is the third women's fragrance created by American pop/R&B singer, songwriter Jordin Sparks alongside CPL Aromas & Preferred Fragrance, endorsed by Jordin Sparks. The product was released exclusively to Bon-Ton Department Stores nationwide on November 8, 2012 in store and online. Ambition... was Preceded by two additional releases. her first fragrance "Because of You..." and her second fragrance "Fascinate". Rogue is the fourth fragrance released by Barbadian singer Rihanna. The fragrance was released in two installments; firstly a women's fragrance and finally a men's cologne. Lovely is a 2005 perfume released by Sarah Jessica Parker. Parker’s first fragrance, Lovely is a light floral musk based on a blend Parker had made for herself. The perfume’s formal development was the subject of a 2008 book by New York Times perfume critic Chandler Burr called The Perfect Scent: A Year Behind the Scenes of the Perfume Industry in Paris and New York.

Niche perfume is perfume made by companies dedicated primarily to creating perfume, as opposed to perfume from fashion houses or famous people. These companies are generally smaller than the major fragrance firms like Coty Inc., Puig, and Firmenich, but bigger than "indie perfume" lines that are generally owned and operated by the perfumer themselves. Especially since the 2010s, however, the distinction has blurred as more and more niche perfume brands have been purchased by a larger parent corporation.
Atelier Cologne is a niche perfume line owned by L'Oréal. Founded in 2009 by Sylvie Ganter and Christophe Cervasel, Atelier Cologne is best known for unisex citrus scents like Orange Sanguine.
Aedes de Venustas is a niche perfume store and fragrance line. Aedes has operated in Manhattan since 1995. The house perfume line launched in 2012, although there was an earlier collaboration with L'Artisan Parfumeur creating a home fragrance (2005) and perfume (2008) also named Aedes de Venustas.
Narciso Rodriguez for Her is an eau de toilette-strength perfume launched in September 2003 by fashion designer Narciso Rodriguez and created by perfumers Christine Nagel and Francis Kurkdjian. It has won Fragrance Foundation awards in France and the US, both at its original launch and retrospectively. The original eau de toilette is primarily a musk, amber and orange blossom scent. Narciso Rodriguez subsequently released an eau de parfum version and many other versions, known as flankers, that include other notes.
