Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport was an Australian motor racing team that competed in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. The team was sold to Phil Munday and re-branded as 23Red Racing at the end of 2017.
Lucas Dumbrell comes from a strong motor racing family; both his father Garry and his brother Paul raced in open wheel and touring car racing. Garry had also owned Gibson Motorsport in 2000. Lucas was making his own way through the junior ranks of Australian motorsport when a 2008 Formula Ford accident at Oran Park Raceway left him a quadraplegic. [1]
Dumbrell refocussed his career ambitions and began developing a V8 Supercar team to race in the 2010 season. At the end of 2009, a Racing Entitlement Contract (REC) was purchased from Tasman Motorsport, and a Holden VE Commodore was sourced from Walkinshaw Racing. [2] Daniel Gaunt was signed to drive for the team. [2]
In the lead-up to the 2010 Sucrogen Townsville 400, it was announced that Gaunt had left the team and been replaced in the short term by Cameron McConville. With McConville unavailable for the endurance races, the team also announced Nathan Pretty and Mark Noske as the team's drivers for the Phillip Island 500 and Bathurst 1000 endurance races, having previously announced Scott Pruett as their international driver for the Gold Coast 600. After the Gold Coast 600, it was announced Warren Luff would drive full-time for the rest of the 2010 season and in 2011. [3] Luff remained with the team for 2011, with Nathan Pretty returning for the Phillip Island and Bathurst endurance races. For the Gold Coast 600, Marino Franchitti joined the team. [4]
For 2012, Luff left the team and was replaced by Taz Douglas. [5] The team purchased a Triple Eight Race Engineering-built Holden VE Commodore from Paul Morris Motorsport to run for Douglas. [6] Scott Pye joined the team for the endurance races in his series debut. [7]
In 2013, the team expanded to two cars, with two new VF Commodores built by Triple Eight, driven by Dean Fiore and Scott Pye. To race the second car, a REC was purchased from Paul Morris Motorsport. [8] [9] In 2014 the team scaled back to one car with Russell Ingall driving. [10] The second REC was returned to V8 Supercars Australia. [11] In the first race of the 2014 Tyrepower Tasmania 400, Ingall finished in 4th.
For the 2015 season, Tim Blanchard and former James Rosenberg Racing driver and 2011 Bathurst 1000 winner Nick Percat were signed as the team once again expanded to two cars. [12] [13] At the Phillip Island round, with Percat out injured, Paul Dumbrell drove for his brother's team as a substitute. Jack Perkins was used as a substitute for the final round, the Sydney 500.
In the 2016 season, Andre Heimgartner replaced Blanchard in the team's line-up, alongside Percat. [14] Their season began with near-immediate success, with Percat winning a chaotic Sunday race at the 2016 Clipsal 500 Adelaide, and therefore winning the Clipsal 500 title. [15] The win was the team's first, and Percat's first individual win having previously won the 2011 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 with Garth Tander.

Walkinshaw Andretti United is an Australian motor racing team based in the Melbourne suburb of Clayton. The team, initially branded as the Holden Racing Team, used to field Holden Commodores in the Supercars Championship before making the switch to Ford Mustangs for the 2023 season. The two cars are currently driven by Ryan Wood and Chaz Mostert.
Russell Peter Ingall is a former full-time Australian V8 Supercar driver. He won his V8 Supercars title in 2005, and finished second in 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2004. Ingall has also won the Bathurst 1000, in 1995 and 1997. His particular driving style earned him the nickname "Enforcer".
Triple Eight Race Engineering, branded as Red Bull Ampol Racing in Supercars, is an Australian motor racing team competing in the Supercars Championship. The team has been the only Brisbane-based V8 Supercar team since its formation, originally taking over and operating out of the former Briggs Motor Sport workshop in Bowen Hills during the 2003 season before moving to Banyo in 2009. The team has won the Supercars drivers' championship ten times, the teams' championship eleven times and the Bathurst 1000 ten times.
Scott Robert Pye is an Australian professional racing driver. He currently co-drives in the Repco Supercars Championship, and co-drivers in the No. 87 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Triple Eight Race Engineering.
Kelly Racing is an Australian motor racing team which competes in the Dunlop Super2 Series. It formerly competed in the Supercars Championship from 2009 to 2021. The team made its debut in 2009, and raced Holden VE Commodores until the end of the 2012 season. In 2013, the team switched to competing with Nissan Altimas, and was rebranded Nissan Motorsport.
Triple F Racing was an Australian motor racing team that competed in the International V8 Supercars Championship between 2009 and 2012. The team was based on the Gold Coast in Queensland but continued to have strong links with the team's original home in Perth.
The 2010 V8 Supercar Championship Series was an FIA sanctioned international motor racing series for V8 Supercars. It was the twelfth V8 Supercar Championship Series and the fourteenth series in which V8 Supercars have contested the premier Australian touring car title. The championship began on 19 February in the Middle East at Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit and concluded on 5 December at the Homebush Street Circuit. These events were held in all states of Australia and in the Northern Territory as well as in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and New Zealand. The 51st Australian Touring Car Championship title was awarded to the winner of the Drivers Championship by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport.
The 2012 International V8 Supercar Championship was an FIA-sanctioned international motor racing series for V8 Supercars. It was the fourteenth running of the V8 Supercar Championship Series and the sixteenth series in which V8 Supercars have contested the premier Australian touring car title. The championship began on 1 March at the Clipsal 500 and concluded on 2 December at the Homebush Street Circuit. The 53rd Australian Touring Car Championship title was awarded to the winner of the Drivers' Championship by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport.

It was the fifteenth running of the V8 Supercar Championship Series and the seventeenth series in which V8 Supercars contested the premier Australian touring car title. The championship was contested over thirty-six races, starting with the Clipsal 500 Adelaide on 2 March 2013, and finishing with the Sydney Telstra 500 V8 Supercars on 8 December. The series' calendar also expanded, travelling to the United States for the first time for a race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

The event was held at the Adelaide Street Circuit in Adelaide, South Australia, and consisted of two races of 125 kilometres and one race of 155 km in length. It was the first event of fourteen in the 2016 International V8 Supercars Championship and hosted Races 1, 2 and 3 of the season. The event was the 18th running of the Adelaide 500.

It was the tenth event of fourteen in the 2016 International V8 Supercars Championship and hosted Race 20 of the season. It was also the first event of the 2016 Pirtek Enduro Cup. The event was the 46th running of the Sandown 500.
