Luis Armando Montoya Navarro (born 8 December 2000) is a Mexican badminton player. [1] Partnering Job Castillo, he managed to win the gold medal at the 2022 Pan Am Championships, [2] and the bronze medal at the 2023 Pan American Games. [3] He was part of the Mexican team that won the gold medals at the 2018 and 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games. [4] [5]

The United States national badminton team represents the United States in international badminton team competitions. The national team is controlled by the governing body for badminton in the country, USA Badminton. The woman's team has won a total of 3 consecutive titles in the Uber Cup from 1957 to 1963. The men's team were runners-up at the 1952 edition of the Thomas Cup where they lost to Malaya.

Balón de Oro, also referred to as Mexican Golden Ball, is an annual Mexican awards ceremony by the Mexican Federation of Association Football to the best association football players, head coaches, and referees of the Liga MX each season. Until 1997, it was an annual award, afterwards the prize was rewarded at the end of the football season. Since 1996/97 the single championship was split into two single-round tournaments, giving birth to the current Apertura and Clausura arrangement, and Balón de Oro is followed them. In 2001/02 no awards were handed out as the officials forgot about organising an election. The ceremony entered a 4-year hiatus following the 2012 Clausura until the 2015–16 Liga MX season.

In the Pan Am Championships, Gaitán won the bronze medals in the women's singles in 2018 and in the women's doubles in 2023. Diego Mini Cuadros is a Peruvian badminton player. He won the bronze at the 2016 Pan Am Badminton Championships in the mixed doubles and team event. Teamed up with Zornoza, they lost in the semi-final round to Canadian pair with the score 0-2. He also the runner-up of the Peru International Series tournament partnered with Zornoza. He was the silver medallists at the 2018 South American Games in the men's doubles and mixed team event.

Katherine Winder Cochella is a Peruvian badminton player. She educated at the Universidad del Pacífico Lima, and in 2015, Winder competed at the Pan Am Games in the women's and mixed doubles event. In the women's doubles she placed 7th, while in the mixed doubles she won the bronze medal partnered with Mario Cuba. In 2010, she won the gold medal at the South American Games in the women's doubles event teamed up with Claudia Zornoza.

Luis Ramón Garrido Esquivel is a Mexican badminton player from Monterrey, Nuevo León. He competed at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. Garrido won the gold medal in the men's singles at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, and was part of the Mexican winning team at that Games. He also won the bronze medal at the 2023 Pan American Games.

Martín Alonso del Valle Salinas is a Peruvian badminton player. He competed at the 2011 and 2015 Pan Am Games. In 2008, he won the bronze medal at the Pan Am Badminton Championships in the men's doubles event partnered with Antonio de Vinatea, and in 2009, he and Vinatea won the silver medal. In 2013, he won the gold medal in the mixed team event and a silver medal in the men's doubles event at the Bolivarian Games.

Luís Enrique Peñalver Pereira is a Spanish badminton player. The Toledo-born, represented Spain competed at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. He was a part of the Spanish national junior team that won the gold medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the mixed team event. In 2017, he won his first senior title at the Romanian International tournament in the men's singles event.

Andrés López Correa is a Mexican badminton player from Mexico City. He was the bronze medalist at the 2011 Pan American Games in the men's doubles event partnered with Lino Muñoz. López also part of the national team that clinched the gold medal at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia.

Iker Casas García is a Mexican taekwondo practitioner. He won a bronze medal at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games and a silver at the 2021 Pan American Championships.

Adam Dong is a Chinese-born Canadian badminton player. He captured the men's doubles gold medals at the 2023 Pan American Games and at the 2023 Pan Am Championships.
