Tema is a city on the Bight of Benin and Atlantic coast of Ghana. It is located 25 kilometres (16 mi) east of the capital city;Accra,in the region of Greater Accra,and is the capital of the Tema Metropolitan District. As of 2013,Tema is the eleventh most populous settlement in Ghana,with a population of approximately 161,612 people –a marked decrease from its 2005 figure of 209,000. Raphael Sylvanus Amegashie was a Ghanaian entrepreneur,accountant and politician. He served as commissioner for Industries and state enterprises secretariat,as well as commissioner for lands and natural resources now Ministry of lands and Natural resources. He was a member of the National Liberation Council which came to power in a military coup d'état on 24 February 1966. Also he served as one of the board chairmen of the State Insurance Company (SIC) during its inception.
Dr. Justice Yaw Ofori is a Ghanaian Chartered Insurance Professional and the current Commissioner of Insurance of the National Insurance Commission of Republic of Ghana since July 2017. He was appointed by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2017 to replace Ms Lydia Lariba Bawa.
