MX vs. ATV: On the Edge is a racing video game developed by Tantalus Media and published by THQ for the PlayStation Portable. It was released in 2006.

There are several modes of play covering the entire world of pro ATV and MX racing like Hill climb, FMX, super cross race, and others. In this game, players can drive not only ATVs and MX bikes but dune buggies, golf carts, stadium trucks, monster trucks, and sand rails.

It's a fairly straightforward port of the PS2, Xbox, PC title MX vs. ATV Unleashed which was released in 2005 by THQ. Besides obvious graphical differences and the addition of several new playable areas, the game lacks the ability to fly airplanes, unlike the console edition of the game.

Reception

The game was met with average reception upon release, as GameRankings gave it a score of 69%, [1] while Metacritic gave it 68 out of 100. [2]

MX vs. ATV is an American racing video game franchise developed by Rainbow Studios and published by THQ Nordic that focuses on off-road racing, as a crossover between THQ's MX trilogy and Sony's ATV Offroad Fury series. Early games in the series, starting with MX vs. ATV Unleashed, were published by THQ prior to its bankruptcy and liquidation in 2013. As the name suggests, the series' main focus is racing with motocross bikes and all-terrain vehicles, although other vehicles such as dune buggies and sport trucks were also featured in the games. Players can also fly airplanes and helicopters in some of the games.

MX vs. ATV Supercross is a racing video game developed by Rainbow Studios and published by Nordic Games for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This is the fifth game of the MX vs. ATV franchise and it is the first game developed after the original creator of the franchise, Rainbow Studios, separated from their most recent publisher THQ due to bankruptcy.
