Madhesh Province Football Association, (formerly known as Province No. 2 Football Association) and also known as Madhesh Province FA is a Nepali provincial football Association, based in the Madhesh Province of Nepal. It sends men's state team for National Games and women's team for National Women's League.

Rajbiraj is a mid-sized municipality located in the south-eastern part of Madhesh Province of Nepal. The city is also called the "Pink City of Nepal" because the township was designed in 1938 based on influence from the "Indian Pink City" Jaipur - thus making it the first township in Nepal to receive urban planning. Rajbiraj is the district headquarters of Saptari which is transferred from old district headquarter Hanumannagar in 1944 and is the eighth largest city in the province. It was declared a municipality in 1959. According to the 2021 census, the city had a population of 70,803 making it the 77rh largest municipality in Nepal. The city area is spread over 55.64 km2 (21.48 sq mi) and comprises 16 wards.
The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) is the governing body of football in Nepal. It is responsible for the men's and women's national teams as well as club competitions. The organisation was founded in 1951 as the All Nepal Football Association and became affiliated with FIFA in 1972. The current President of ANFA is Pankaj Bikram Nembang. Its current headquarters is located in the ANFA House in ANFA Complex, Satdobato.
Madheshi people is a term used for Nepalis comprising several ethnic groups living in the Madhesh Province, and the Terai region of Koshi Province and Lumbini Province. It has also been used as a political pejorative term by the Pahari people of Nepal to refer to Neapalese with a non-Nepali language as their mother tongue, regardless of their place of birth or residence. The term Madheshi became a widely recognised name for people of Madhesh but it has also been used for people with an Indian cultural background married to Madhesis only after 1990. Madheshi people comprise various cultural groups such as Hindus, Muslims, Marwaris, Brahmin and Dalit caste groups as well as Nepalese ethnic groups like Maithils, Bhojpuri, Awadhi and Bajjika speaking people and the native indigenous people of Madhesh. In recent times, government papers, some politicians and journalists use the term for all Nepalis living in southern Nepal.

Madhesh Province is a province of Nepal in the Terai region with an area of 9,661 km2 (3,730 sq mi) covering about 6.5% of the country's total area. It has a population of 6,126,288 as per the 2021 Nepal census, making it Nepal's most densely populated province and the smallest province by area. It borders Koshi Pradesh to the east and the north, Bagmati Province to the north, and India’s Bihar state to the south and the west. The border between Chitwan National Park and Parsa National Park acts as the provincial boundary in the west, and the Kosi River forms the provincial border in the east. He won second time in a row Member of the Legislative Assembly of Rautahat District Constituency 4(B) Pradesh Sabha. He is also former VDC chairman(Nepali: अध्यक्ष) of Gamhariya, Nepal.
The Madhesh Provincial Assembly is a unicameral governing and law making body of Madhesh Province, one of the seven Provinces in Nepal, The assembly is seated in the provincial capital at Janakpur in Dhanusha District. The assembly has 107 members, 64 of whom are elected through single-member constituencies and 43 of whom are elected through the party list proportional representation system. They are elected for five-year terms unless the assembly is dissolved earlier.

The 2023–24 Prime Minister Cup (Women) was the ninth edition of the Prime Minister Cup Women's National Cricket Tournament, the premier Twenty20 cricket tournament in Nepal. The tournament was contested by teams representing the seven Provinces of Nepal as well as one departmental teams. It began on 21 December 2023 and end on 3 January 2024. The format was changed for the 2023–24 season, with the eight teams competing in a round-robin format with the top four advancing to the play-offs.
