Magic Orbz (previously named Magic Ball [1] ) is a game for the Sony PlayStation 3 video game console. It is based on the PC game, Magic Ball 3. The game was released in January 2009 and was followed by a few additional downloadable content packs. An iOS port was developed and published by HeroCraft in November 2012.

Gameplay

Magic Orbz is a 3D Breakout style game with a stylised game design and physics simulation. The game's visual appearance follows two themes, Pirates and Knights. As in many similar games in this genre, random power-ups fall from pieces of the level that are broken up by the ball.

The initial release of the game contains 48 normal levels + 2 bonus levels, providing 13 trophies. The "Wicked Witches" expansion includes an additional 24 Witch themed levels, 1 bonus level and 5 more trophies. The "Winter Pack" was released in January 2010 features 25 new levels. [1] One more Level pack is listed as "Coming Soon" in the in-game menu.

Magic Orbz features single player, competitive multiplayer and co-operative multiplayer modes. Multiplayer has both local and online gameplays available.

Reception

The PlayStation 3 version received "average" reviews, while the iOS version received "generally favorable reviews", according to the review aggregation website Metacritic. [2] [3]

Savage Moon is a PlayStation 3 tower defense strategy game by British studio FluffyLogic which sees the player protecting a remote, off-world mining facility from constant attack by Insectocytes, a type of carnivorous creature inhabiting the planets. The mission is to strategically place an array of upgradeable, defensive weapons in the way of the bugs. There is a range of towers, from rapid-fire machine guns to support towers such as the chaos tower.

<i>Lumines Supernova</i> 2008 video game

Lumines Supernova is a puzzle video game, the fourth main entry in the Lumines series. The game was published and developed by Q Entertainment with original series creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi as the game designer and Katsumi Yokota as director. The game was released on the PlayStation Network in December 2008 for Japan and North America. The objective of the game is to arrange 2×2 blocks varying between two colors into same-colored squares by moving them, rotating, and dropping them in a 16×10 playing field while a timeline sweeps from left to right and clears the completed squares and awards points to the players. It features all of the previous game modes that Lumines Live! implemented except for online multiplayer, as well as an expanded version of the Sequencer from Lumines II and a new mode, DigDown Mode. Lumines Supernova was received positively among reviewers, with some adding it to their Top-rated lists. However, the game was criticized for the lack of online multiplayer that was previously introduced in the series.

Droplitz is a puzzle video game developed by Blitz Arcade and published by Atlus USA. It was released for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, Microsoft Windows and iOS in June 2009. A sequel called Droplitz Delight was released for Windows Phone in May 2012.

Zen Pinball is a series of pinball machine video games developed and published by Zen Studios. Gunslugs is an action and 2D shooter video game. It was released by Dutch developer OrangePixel in 2013 for iOS, Android and Ouya, in 2014 for PlayStation Vita, in 2015 for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux, in 2016 for Nintendo 3DS, and in 2020 for Nintendo Switch. In 2022 it was released for Atari VCS.
