Regina is the capital city of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The city is the second-largest in the province, and is a commercial centre for southern Saskatchewan. As of the 2021 census, Regina had a city population of 226,404, and a metropolitan area population of 249,217. It is governed by Regina City Council. The city is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Sherwood No. 159.
Indian Head is a town in southeast Saskatchewan, Canada, 69 kilometres (43 mi) east of Regina on the Trans-Canada Highway. It "had its beginnings in 1882 as the first settlers, mainly of Scottish origin, pushed into the area in advance of the railroad, most travelling by ox-cart from Brandon." "Indian" refers to Indigenous peoples in Canada. The town is known for its federally operated experimental farm and tree nursery, which has produced and distributed seedlings for shelter belts since 1901. For many years the program was run by the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA).
Balgonie is a town in southeast Saskatchewan, Canada. Situated at the intersection of Highways 10, 46, and the Trans-Canada Highway, the town is part of the White Butte region and neighbours Pilot Butte, White City, and McLean. As well, it is located 25 kilometres east of the province's capital city, Regina. As of the 2016 census, Balgonie had a population of 1,765, an 8.3% growth from 2011. The town is governed by the Balgonie Town Council and is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Edenwold No. 158. Balgonie is located in Treaty 4 territory.

The Last Mountain Railway is a Canadian short line railway company and a subsidiary of Mobil Grain Ltd. LMR operates on trackage between Regina and Davidson in Saskatchewan, established in 2009. The trackage was formerly operated by Canadian National, the LMR interlines with Canadian National in both Regina and Davidson. This subdivision is part of the former Canadian National line that links Regina and Saskatoon. Freight railway stations along the line include Davidson, Girvin, Craik, Aylesbury, Chamberlain, Findlater, Bethune, Disley, Lumsden, Condie and Regina. All locomotives used on LMR are owned by Mobil Grain (MGLX) and also utilized on their sister company, Big Sky Rail Corp.

The series stars Zarqa Nawaz as Zarqa, a divorced Muslim woman whose ex-husband is remarrying to a younger white yoga instructor; she responds by inventing a fake white boyfriend of her own and sets out to find an appropriate man to portray him as her date at the wedding, but ends up being drawn into a love triangle when Brian, the man she finds on a dating app, wants to establish a serious relationship rather than just being revenge arm candy, while at the same time Zarqa's former boyfriend Yusuf returns with an interest in rekindling their relationship.
