The Malaysia Premier Futsal League (Wanita) is the top flight women's futsal league in Malaysia. The league is managed by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). The competition has been founded in 2007.

History

The Liga Futsal Kebangsaan (Wanita) has been founded when the women categories was introduced for the Liga Futsal Kebangsaan in 2007. [1] For 2007 season, FELDA has become the official sponsor for the competition and the competition name has incorporated the sponsor name and called as Liga Futsal Kebangsaan FAM/FELDA and the partnership continue until the end of 2015 season. [2] [3] [4]

Selangor, captained by the instrumental Shahila Yunus won back-to-back titles in the 2009-10 season and 2010-11 season.

The league has been resumed for a new season in February 2017 and competed among six clubs. [5] [6]

Selangor Football Club Under 23 , commonly referred to as Selangor U-23, is a professional Malaysian football reserve team club of Selangor, based in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. Felda United Football Club is a Malaysian football club based in Jengka, Pahang which is owned by the Malaysian Federal Land Development Authority (Felda). The club used to compete in the Malaysian football league system but withdrew from the Malaysian league competition in 2020. Known as the "Felda Fighters" among the fans, Felda United participated in the Malaysian football league from 2007 to 2020.

The Malaysia Premier Futsal League, commonly abbreviated as MPFL, is a men's professional futsal league sanctioned by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). It was previously known as the Liga Futsal Kebangsaan (LFK). Successful MPFL teams qualify for Asian continental club competitions, including the AFC Futsal Club Championship and AFF Futsal Club Championship. MPFL currently does not practice promotion and relegation. Since the league's inception in 2004, 8 teams have been crowned champions. Selangor have been the most successful team with 3 titles, followed by Figos RSA (2), Felda United (2), Melaka (2), PDRM (1), AOB Teras Selatan (1), Johor (1), PKNS (1) and Pahang Rangers (1).

The 2011 season was the 32nd season of competitive football in Malaysia.

FELDA United FC are the defending champions, having won their second title in the 2014-15 season. The league was on hold for 2016 season after a financial problem and postponed to January 2017 for the new season. All matches to be played at Kompleks Sukan UPSI, Tanjung Malim, Perak and Stadium Tertutup SUKPA, Kuantan, Pahang.

2019 Malaysia Premier Futsal League was the 1st season of the Malaysia Premier Futsal League after re-branding from the Liga Futsal Kebangsaan. It is the Malaysian professional futsal league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2004. Melaka United are the defending champions.

The 2024 Malaysia Futsal Cup was the 3rd season of the Malaysia Futsal Cup. 8 teams participate in this competition come from the 2024 MPFL Division 1 and 2 team from 2024 MPFL Division 2 this season.

The 2022 Malaysia Futsal Cup was the first season of the Malaysia Futsal Cup, the main national futsal knockout cup competition in Malaysia. Eight teams contested the competition proper, with the winner qualifying for the 2022 AFF Futsal Cup.
