Manning Commercial Historic District is a national historic district located at Manning, Clarendon County, South Carolina. The district encompasses 46 contributing buildings and 1 contributing object in the central business district of Manning, county seat for Clarendon County. Manning's downtown is dominated by its 1909 Neo-Classical, red brick courthouse set at the center of a landscaped courthouse square. The commercial district is characterized by one- and two-part commercial block buildings, many of them brick, that were constructed during the late-19th and early-20th century. The buildings are characterized by oblique and angled entrances, intriguing decorative cornices and corbeling, and a preponderance of parapeted rooflines give the Manning Commercial Historic District a clear and unmistakable association with the architecture typical of the early-20th century. In addition to the courthouse, other notable buildings include the U.S. Post Office and Federal Building, Coffey-Rigby Livery Stable, Clarendon Furniture Store, Leonard Building, Manning Hotel, Brailsford Grocery / Schwartz Building, Cut Rate Drug Store, and Pure Oil Service Station. The Downtown Commercial Historic District in Muscatine, Iowa is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. At that time, it included 93 contributing buildings, one other contributing object, and 18 non-contributing buildings. The city of Muscatine was established as Bloomington in 1836. The original town was built on land that is generally flat along the Mississippi River. Residential areas were located on the surrounding hills. Commercial and industrial interests developed on the flatter land near the river. Muscatine's commercial and industrial center had developed in a 12-block area along Front Street, now Mississippi Drive, and 2nd Street between Pine Street and Mulberry Street by 1874. This area, represented by the Downtown Commercial Historic District, is the city's original commercial area. Within its boundaries is a large number of 19th-century commercial buildings, many of which were modified in the first half of the 20th century.

Hartford City has a population of about 7,000 and is the county seat of Blackford County and the site of the county courthouse. The National Park Service of the United States Department of the Interior added the Hartford City Courthouse Square Historic District to the National Register of Historic Places on June 21, 2006—meaning the buildings and objects that contribute to the continuity of the district are worthy of preservation because of their historical and architectural significance. The District has over 60 resources, including over 40 contributing buildings, over 10 non-contributing buildings, one contributing object, eight non-contributing objects, and two other buildings that are listed separately in the National Register.

Mullins Commercial Historic District is a national historic district located at Mullins, Marion County, South Carolina. The district encompasses 38 contributing buildings in the central business district of Mullins. It includes an intact collection of late 19th and early 20th century commercial and other public buildings. The buildings illustrate the growth and development of Mullins from its beginnings as a railroad town to its prominence as the leading tobacco market in South Carolina for most of the 20th century. Gaffney Commercial Historic District national historic district located at Gaffney, Cherokee County, South Carolina. The district encompasses 41 contributing building in the central business district of Gaffney. Most of the buildings were built after 1900 and before 1930 and are primarily commercial buildings in vernacular commercial interpretations of the Italianate, Romanesque Revival, Renaissance Revival, Art Deco, and Neoclassical styles. All of the buildings are of brick construction and vary from one to four stories in height. The downtown area, which continues to be a center of Gaffney commerce, retains much of its early 20th century character.

Oaklyn Plantation is a historic plantation and national historic district located near Darlington, Darlington County, South Carolina. Founded as a forced-labor farm worked by black people enslaved by the land's white owners, it was one of the major plantation establishments of the county and served as the seat of the Williamson family for more than 200 years.

The Rochester Commercial and Industrial District encompasses the civic, commercial, and industrial heart of Rochester, New Hampshire. Oriented around the city's Central Square, the 6-acre (2.4 ha) district includes the city's major civic buildings, most of which are Classical Revival structures from the early 20th century, a number of commercial buildings dating as far back as the square's formation in the 1820s, and several late 19th-century industrial facilities. The district extends primarily along Main Street, from Bridge and Union Streets to Winter and Academy Streets, and includes properties extending along Wakefield and Hanson Streets, as well as other adjacent streets. It was built in 1873, and is a two-story, "T"-plan Italianate-style brick building with a hipped roof. It has a rear addition built in the early-20th century. The front facade features a projecting three-story tower topped by a concave mansard roof.
