Marzrud (Persian : مرزرود‎, also Romanized as Marzrūd; also known as Marzūd and Mazrūd)^[1] is a village in Rudpey-ye Jonubi Rural District, in the Central District of Sari County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 678, in 175 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Rudpey-ye Jonubi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Sari County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 20,548, in 5,480 families. The rural district has 43 villages.

The District has one city: Sari.
