Meganema is a genus of bacteria. [1] [2] Up to now there is only one species of this genus known (Meganema perideroedes). [1] [3] The genus of Meganema got renamed to Neomegalonema [4] in 2017.

The Acidithiobacillales are an order of bacteria within the class Acidithiobacillia and comprises the genera Acidithiobacillus and Thermithiobacillus. Originally, both were included in the genus Thiobacillus, but they are not related to the type species, which belongs to the Betaproteobacteria.

Sinorhizobium/Ensifer is a genus of nitrogen-fixing bacteria (rhizobia), three of which have been sequenced.

The Chloroflexi or Chlorobacteria are a phylum of bacteria containing isolates with a diversity of phenotypes, including members that are aerobic thermophiles, which use oxygen and grow well in high temperatures; anoxygenic phototrophs, which use light for photosynthesis ; and anaerobic halorespirers, which uses halogenated organics as electron acceptors.

Acanthopleuribacter is a genus in the phylum Acidobacteria (bacteria).

Acaricomes is a genus in the phylum Actinobacteria (Bacteria). The etymology of the genus is N.L. masc. pl. n. acari, the mites; L. masc. n. comes, companion; N.L. masc. n. Acaricomes, companion of mites. The genus contains only one species, namely, A. phytoseiuli

Thermoanaerobacter is a genus in the phylum Firmicutes (Bacteria). Members of this genus are thermophilic and anaerobic, several of them were previously described as Clostridium species and members of the now obsolete genera Acetogenium and Thermobacteroides

Virgibacillus is a genus of Gram-positive, rod-shaped (bacillus) bacteria and a member of the phylum Firmicutes. Virgibacillus species can be obligate aerobes, or facultative anaerobes and catalase enzyme positive. Under stressful environmental conditions, the bacteria can produce oval or ellipsoidal endospores in terminal, or sometimes subterminal, swollen sporangia. The genus was recently reclassified from the genus Bacillus in 1998 following an analysis of the species V. pantothenticus. Subsequently, a number of new species have been discovered or reclassified as Virgibacillus species.

Peptoniphilus is a genus of bacteria in the phylum Firmicutes (Bacteria).

Meganema perideroedes is a filamentous bacterium from the genus of Meganema which has been isolated from activated bulking sludge from industrial wastewater in Grindsted in Denmark.

Pseudarthrobacter defluvii, with the old name Arthrobacter defluvii, is a bacterium species from the genus of Pseudarthrobacter which has been isolated from sewage from the Geumho River near Daegu in Korea. Arthrobacter defluvii has the ability to degrade 4-chlorophenol.

Paenarthrobacter nitroguajacolicus, other name of its is Arthrobacter nitroguajacolicus, is a bacterium species from the genus of Paenarthrobacter which has been isolated from soil in the Czech Republic. Arthrobacter nitroguajacolicus has the ability to degrade 4-nitroguaiacol.
