3 The member for Fisher, Bob Such, resigned from the Liberal Party on 12 October 2000. He continued to sit in the Assembly as an independent.
4 The member for Price, Murray De Laine, resigned from the Labor Party on 15 August 2001 after losing preselection to recontest his seat. He served out the remainder of his term as an independent.
5 The member for Ross Smith, Ralph Clarke, resigned from the Labor Party on 27 November 2001 after losing preselection to recontest his seat. He served out the remainder of his term as an independent.

Loraine Margaret Braham is an Australian politician. She was a member of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly from 1994 to 2008, representing the electorate of Braitling. She was initially elected as a representative of the Country Liberal Party, serving in that role from 1994 until 2001, but retained her seat as an independent after being disendorsed before the 2001 election. She was the Speaker of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly from 1997 to 1999 and again from 2001 to 2005. Braham also served as a minister in the Stone government from 1999 to 2000.

Jeffrey David Collins is an Australian politician. He was a member of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly from 2016 to 2020, representing the electorate of Fong Lim. He was member of the governing Labor Party, but was one of three MPs excluded from the Labor caucus on 21 December 2018 over alleged criticism of the government, and resigned from the party on 8 February 2019 to sit as an independent. In March 2020 he joined the Territory Alliance as its second MP.
