Reuben Marambii Library has 30,000 print materials with 80,000 items in electronic and online resources. It has a sitting capacity of 500 people. [12] The library has an Online Public Access Catalog offering services such as searching, renewing books, making purchase suggestions, placing holds on items among others. The library has developed off-campus access to e-books and e-journals to allow users to access subscribed online resources.
Degree abbreviations are used as an alternative way to specify an academic degree instead of spelling out the title in full, such as in reference books such as Who's Who and on business cards. Many degree titles have more than one possible abbreviation, with the abbreviation used varying between different universities. In the UK it is normal not to punctuate abbreviations for degrees with full stops, although this is done at some universities.
The Open University of Sri Lanka is a national university in Sri Lanka. The Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) is a university established by the Government of Kerala devoted to studies in fisheries and ocean sciences. The bill seeking to establish the university was passed by the Kerala Legislative Assembly on 30 December 2010. KUFOS has its headquarters in the premises of the College of Fisheries, Panangad, near Madavana Junction along the Kochi Bypass. The College of Fisheries, established in 1979, was a constituent college of the Kerala Agricultural University. KUFOS is the first university in India exclusively dedicated to studies in fisheries and allied disciplines.
