Species

The genus contains eight species, [1] of which 4 are listed as endangered or vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.

Mexistenasellus coahuila lives in Texas and Mexico, [6] while Mexistenasellus floridensis is found in Florida. [7] The other species are endemic to Mexico.

Anaspididae is a family of freshwater crustacean that is endemic to Tasmania, Australia. The family contains 3 genera and 5 species. This group of crustaceans are considered living fossils. They are commonly and collectively known as the Tasmanian anaspid crustaceans. Anaspidids have stalked eyes, long antennae and antennules, and a slender body with no carapace. The two species of Allanaspides and the single species of Paranaspides are all listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.

Branchinecta Genus of small freshwater animals

Branchinecta is a genus of fairy shrimp in family Branchinectidae. It includes around 50 species, found on all continents except Australia. Branchinecta gigas, the giant fairy shrimp, is the largest species in the order, with a length of up to 10 centimetres (4 in), and Branchinecta brushi lives at the highest altitude of any crustacean, at 5,930 metres (19,460 ft), a record it shares with the copepod Boeckella palustris. A new genus, Archaebranchinecta was established in 2011 for two species previously placed in Branchinecta.

Caecidotea barri, commonly known as the Clifton Cave isopod, is a species of crustacean in the family Asellidae. It is endemic to Kentucky in the United States.

Lirceus culveri, the Rye Cove cave isopod, is a species of isopod in the family Asellidae. It is endemic to McDavids Cave in Scott County, Virginia in the United States.

Lirceus Genus of crustaceans

Lirceus is a genus of isopod crustaceans in the family Asellidae that live in southern Canada and the eastern United States as far west as the Great Plains. Of the 15 species in the genus, two are listed as either endangered (EN) or vulnerable (VU) on the IUCN Red List.

Lirceus usdagalun is a rare species of crustacean known by the common name Lee County cave isopod. It is endemic to Virginia in the United States, where it is known from a single network of karst cave systems in Lee County. It is threatened by a number of processes. It is a federally listed endangered species of the United States, and is assessed as "endangered" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Mexilana saluposi is a species of crustacean in the family Cirolanidae, the only species in the genus Mexilana. It is endemic to Mexico.

Mexistenasellus coahuila, the Coahuila isopod, is a species of isopod crustacean in the family Stenasellidae. It is found in Mexico and Texas in the United States. Once thought to only live in southern North America, it has been found living outside Jacksonville, Florida in the Hole in Wall Cave. This discovery was thought to double the range of the Stenasellidae's existence in North America.

Onchotelson is a genus of isopod crustaceans in the family Phreatoicidae, which is endemic to Tasmania. It contains two species, both of which are listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List:

Speocirolana thermydronis is a species of crustacean in the family Cirolanidae. It is endemic to Mexico and only known from springs near Cuatro Ciénegas, Coahuila. Its habitat is threatened by irrigation.

Sphaerolana is a genus of isopod crustaceans in the family Cirolanidae, all of which are endemic to Mexico.

Stygobromus Genus of crustaceans

Stygobromus is a genus of amphipod crustaceans that live in subterranean habitats. The majority of the listed species are endemic to North America, a smaller number of species are also known from Eurasia. Most of the North American species live in areas which were not covered by the Laurentide Ice Sheet, although a few species seem to have survived under the ice. A number of species are on the IUCN Red List as endangered species (EN) or vulnerable species (VU); one species, S. lucifugus, is extinct.

Stygobromus bowmani, commonly called Bowman's cave amphipod, is a troglomorphic species of amphipod in family Crangonyctidae. It is endemic to Oklahoma in the United States.

Thermosphaeroma is a genus of crustacean in family Sphaeromatidae. They occur exclusively in hot springs of southwestern United States and central Mexico.
