The International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics,usually just FIGO ("fee'go") as the acronym of its French name Fédération Internationale de Gynécologie et d'Obstétrique,is a worldwide non-governmental organisation representing obstetricians and gynaecologists in over one hundred territories. Graeme Stephen Reeves is a deregistered former gynecologist and obstetrician from New South Wales,Australia,dubbed the Butcher of Bega in the press. Reeves was deregistered in 2004 for performing obstetric procedures at Pambula and Bega hospitals despite being banned from obstetrics,and in September 2008 was charged in relation to alleged sexual and indecent assaults and genital mutilation at Bega,Pambula and Richmond between 2001 and 2003. He was sentenced in relation to assaults in 2011.
Norman Frederick Morris was a British pioneer of women's health. He was a professor of obstetrics and gynaecology at Charing Cross Hospital Medical School (1958–1985) and was also a university administrator. From 1971 to 1980,he was dean of medicine,and then deputy vice-chancellor at the University of London.

James Haig FergusonLLD FRSE FRCPE FRCSEd was a prominent Scottish obstetrician and gynaecologist. He served as President of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh from 1929 to 1931 and was president of the Edinburgh Obstetrical Society. He chaired the Central Midwives Board of Scotland and was manager of Donaldson's School for the Deaf. In 1929 he was a founding member of the British College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Major General Frederick Arthur Maguire,was an Australian physician,gynaecologist,and soldier,who spent much of his career with the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital,the University of Sydney and in the service of the Australian Army Medical Corps. Maguire served as Director General Australian Army Medical Services from 1941 to 1942 during the Second World War,and was later a founding member and chairman of the Australian Regional Council of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Charles Richard Whitfield FRCOG,FRCP(G) was a Northern Irish obstetrician and gynaecologist who was a pioneer of maternal-fetal (perinatal) medicine. His primary interest was in fetal medicine,a branch of obstetrics and gynaecology that focuses on the assessment of the development,growth and health of the baby in the womb. He was also an early proponent of subspecialisation within the fields of obstetrics and gynaecology,a practice that is common today.
Sir Eardley Lancelot Holland FRCS,FRCP,FRCOG was a British surgeon and foundation fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. In 1943,he became the fifth president of the college.
Herbert Leith Murray FRCOG (1880–1932) was professor of obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Liverpool. He was on the staff of the Liverpool Maternity Hospital and the David Lewis Northern Hospital. He was a foundation fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He served with the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve from 1909 and during the First World War and achieved the rank of Surgeon Captain.

Constance Ethel Fozzard was an English obstetrician and gynaecologist. She spent the majority of her career working for the National Health Service in Cornwall,and was heavily involved in the British Medical Association.
William Charles Wallace Nixon was a Maltese-born professor of obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of London,director of the obstetric unit at University College,and member of the Expert Advisory Committee on Maternity Care for the World Health Organization.
