Charishma Kaliyanda is an Australian politician who serves as a Councillor on the City of Liverpool.
Kaliyanda was born in India. She migrated to Australia as a four-year-old with her parents and brother [1] and was raised in Liverpool. She is a registered Occupational Therapist, [2] having completed a Masters in the subject. [1]
She has previously worked full-time for an industry group helping engineers into the workforce and has worked as Community Engagement and Development Officer with headspace. [1]
Kaliyanda joined the Australian Labor Party in the late 2000s [1] and was announced as the party's endorsed candidate for the new New South Wales state seat of Holsworthy for the 2015 New South Wales state election. She was defeated by the incumbent Menai member Melanie Gibbons. [3]
Kaliyanda was elected to Liverpool City Council for the South Ward in 2016. [4] She was endorsed as the Labor candidate for Holsworthy again at the 2019 election but was defeated by Gibbons for a second time. [5] [6] Kaliyanda was re-elected to Liverpool City Council in 2021. [7] She has been endorsed as the Labor candidate for the safe seat of Liverpool at the 2023 election. [8] She was elected a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Liverpool for the Labor Party in 2023. [9]

Liverpool F.C. Reserves is the reserve team of Liverpool F.C. It is the most senior level of the Liverpool academy beneath the first team. In the summer of 2012,the whole English reserve football system was overhauled and replaced with an Under 21 league system,the Professional Development League. It is set to take place in Liverpool,United Kingdom,after Ukraine,winner of the 2022 contest with the song "Stefania" by Kalush Orchestra,was unable to meet the demands of hosting the event due to security concerns caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) on behalf of the Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine (UA:PBC),the contest will be held at the Liverpool Arena,and will consist of two semi-finals on 9 and 11 May,and a final on 13 May 2023. The three live shows will be presented by British singer Alesha Dixon,British actress Hannah Waddingham and Ukrainian singer Julia Sanina,with Irish television presenter Graham Norton joining for the final.

The 2023 Liverpool City Council election will take place on 4 May 2023 to elect members of Liverpool City Council. Following a Boundary Review by The Local Government Boundary Commission for England,the size of the council was reduced from 90 to 85 seats with a change from three member seats,elected in thirds,three years out of every four,following the British Government instigated Best Value Inspection Report which led to the appointment by the government of Commissioners and the subsequent boundary review for Council Wards in Liverpool which the government initiated with the proviso that the number of councillors be reduced and the predominant number of wards be reduced to single members with all-up elections every four years.
