Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, sometimes abbreviated to TMNT, is an American media franchise created by the comic book artists Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. It follows Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael, four anthropomorphic turtle brothers trained in ninjutsu who fight evil in New York City. In the film, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of the New York people and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts, leading them to take on a mysterious crime syndicate with the help of their new friend April O'Neil, but trouble ensues when they are confronted by an army of mutants.
