The Minister of Women in the Presidency is the minister of the South African government with political responsibility for South Africa's Department of Women within the presidency of South Africa. The current Minister is Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, who was appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa on 6 March 2023. [1]

Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa is a South African businessman and politician who is serving as the fifth democratically elected president of South Africa. A former anti-apartheid activist, trade union leader, and businessman, Ramaphosa is also the president of the African National Congress (ANC).

In 2014 President Jacob Zuma split the ministry by establishing the position of Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services, but the ministries were combined again in 2018 under President Cyril Ramaphosa. President Ramaphosa changed the name to Communications, Telecommunications and Postal Services. He later changed to the name to Communications and Digital Technologies.

The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) is a department of the South African government which is responsible for the mining industry of South Africa, exploitation of the country's mineral resources, and the energy industry. It was known as the Department of Minerals and Energy until July 2009 when it was divided by President Jacob Zuma into the Department of Mineral Resources and the Department of Energy. In June 2019 President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the two departments were to be reunited under the current name.
