The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MOHT) is the governmental body in the Sultanate of Oman responsible for promoting and preserving Omani heritage and tourism.
The current Minister of Heritage and Tourism is Salem bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi. [1] [2]
The first governmental body to be officially concerned with heritage and culture was the Ministry of Information and Culture (its name at the time) in accordance with the responsibilities assigned to it in 1975 by Royal Decree No 26/75. [3] Some of these responsibilities were moved out of the Ministry of Information and Culture to the Ministry of Royal Court Affairs (its name at the time) by Royal Decree No 12/76 [4] by transferring the Directorate of Heritage Collection to the Ministry of Royal Court Affairs. In 1976, Faisal bin Ali Al Said was appointed as the Minister of Omani Heritage who took over all heritage and cultural responsibilities. [5]
The name of the Ministry of Omani Heritage was changed in the same year of its establishment to the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture, [6] which in turn was renamed to the Ministry of Heritage and Culture in 2002. [7] It was renamed to the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in 2020. [8]

Sayyid Faisal bin Ali bin Faisal Al Said was an Omani royal and politician. He served as the Minister of Heritage and Culture from 1976 to 2002.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MITMA), traditionally known as the Ministry of Development (MIFOM), is the department of the Government of Spain responsible for preparing and implementing the government policy on land, air and maritime transport infrastructure and the control, planning and regulation of the transport services on this areas. It is also responsible for guaranteeing access to housing; urban, soil and architecture policies; planning and controlling the postal and telegraph services, directing the services related to astronomy, geodesy, geophysics and mapping, and planning and programing the government investments on infrastructure and services related to this scope. The Ministry's headquarters are in the New Ministries government complex.
The National Museum of the Sultanate of Oman is a museum located in Oman. It was developed as a result of a ten-year collaboration between the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, the Royal Estate Affairs of Oman, Jasper Jacob Associates (J.J.A.), and Arts Architecture International Ltd (A.A.I.), and opened to the public in 2016.
The Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs (MJLA) was the governmental body in the Sultanate of Oman that is responsible for drafting legislation and providing other government bodies with legal advice. It was a distinct body from the Ministry of Justice and the Public Prosecution, and they were both merged into the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs in August 2020.
The Ministry of Industry and Tourism (MINCOTUR) is the department of the Government of Spain responsible for the proposal and execution of the government policy on industry, trade and tourism, including among its competences the industrial development and of the SMEs, the promotion and defense of the industrial property, as well as the politics of tourism and the rest of competences and attributions that the legal system attributes to it. Likewise, in coordination with the Foreign Ministry is responsible for the international cooperation on this matters.
The National Security Agency (NSA) or Bahrain Intelligence Agency (BIA1) is an investigative authority in Bahrain that is associated with but not formally part of the Ministry of the Interior. The NSA was formed after King Hamad issued Decree No. 14 of 2002 declaring it as the replacement of the General Directorate for State Security Investigations. The NSA was granted the power to make arrests by a 2008 royal decree, and lost this power in 2011, again by royal decree.
The Ministry of the Presidency (MPR) was the department of the Government of Spain that, from 1974 to 2023, assured the link between the different Ministries and the Prime Minister and it was responsible for the relations between the Government and the Parliament. This department also supported The Crown in the exercise of its functions.
The Information Affairs Authority (IAA) is Bahrain's ministry of information that was formed in July 2010. The president of IAA is appointed directly by the King of Bahrain and has the rank of a minister in the Bahrain government. From July 2010 to 2012, Fawaz bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa was President of IAA. In 2012, he relinquished the position to take up an appointment as Minister of State for Communication, and Sameera Rajab was appointed in his place.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation (MoHESRI) is the governmental body in the Sultanate of Oman responsible for supervising high education institutes and the development of high education policies in the Sultanate.
The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs (MARA) is the governmental body in the Sultanate of Oman responsible for overseeing all matters related to awqaf and religious affairs.
The Ministry of Civil Services is the governmental body in the Sultanate of Oman responsible for all matters relating to government employees under the civil service system.
Haitham bin Tariq Al Said is Sultan and Prime Minister of Oman.
The Ministry of Finance & National Economy (MOFNE) is responsible for formulating and implementing the financial policies of the Kingdom of Bahrain within the overall vision of the Bahrain Government. The Ministry prepares the state general budget in coordination with other ministries and public entities in a way that reflects the financial and economic objectives of the Kingdom, particularly regarding improving living standards and increasing levels of economic growth.

It was the result of the merger of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Legal Affairs in August 2020.
Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said is the Crown Prince of Oman and the Minister of Culture, Sports, & Youth.
Salem bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi is the Omani Minister of Heritage and Tourism. He was appointed as Minister on 18 August 2020.
