The Omani passport (Arabic : جواز السفر العماني) are passports issued by Oman to Omani citizens for international travel. Omani passports are issued by the Royal Oman Police or at an Omani Embassy overseas.

History

Oman started to issue biometric passports in 2014. [1]

Passport types

Passport types are specified under article No. 3 of the Omani passport law, issued by Royal Decree No. 69/97. The specified types are as follows:

Physical appearance

Omani passports' cover is red and have inscriptions in golden letters indicating the official name of the country at the top and the word "passport" at the bottom both in Arabic and English divided by the coat of arms. The biometric passport symbol, alerting to the presence of a RFID chip inside the document, is at the very bottom of the cover page. [2]

The Omani passport consists of 48 pages and is valid for up to 10 years.

In June 2019, Omani citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 83 countries and territories, ranking the Omani passport 52nd in the world according to the Passport index [3]

A Moldovan passport is an international document issued to citizens of the Republic of Moldova for the purpose of international travel. The passport is issued by the Public Services Agency and by Moldovan foreign representations abroad. The passport is valid for ten years. For children under the age of seven years it is valid for four years. Since 1 January 2006, Moldovan citizens can hold two passports simultaneously, providing a written request has been submitted to local passport office.

North Macedonian passport are issued to citizens of North Macedonia for the purpose of international travel. Responsibility for their issuance lies with the Ministry of the Interior. The validity of the passport is 5 years for persons 4 to 27 years of age and 10 years for those 27 years of age and older. For children ages four and under, the validity of the passport is limited to two years. The passports conform to the recommended standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and are biometric passports.

The document is a biometric machine-readable passport with a blue cover with the text "République de Djibouti" above the coat of arms, and the text "passport" below it in Arabic and French. The passport is valid for 5 years and contains 31 pages. The passport includes the full name, photograph, signature and date of birth of the holder. The newer passports offer better security and state-of-the-art anti forging parameters and have a soft cover.
