Gabonese passports are issued to Gabonese citizens to travel outside Gabon.
Gabon, officially the Gabonese Republic, is a country on the west coast of Central Africa. Located on the equator, Gabon is bordered by Equatorial Guinea to the northwest, Cameroon to the north, the Republic of the Congo on the east and south, and the Gulf of Guinea to the west. It has an area of nearly 270,000 square kilometres (100,000 sq mi) and its population is estimated at 2 million people. Its capital and largest city is Libreville.
As of 1 January 2017, Gabonese citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 50 countries and territories, ranking the Gabonese passport 86th in terms of travel freedom (tied with Haitian and Malagasy passports) according to the Henley visa restrictions index. [1]
Visa requirements for Gabonese citizens are administrative entry restrictions by the authorities of other states placed on citizens of the Gabon. As of 1 January 2018, Gabonese citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 52 countries and territories, ranking the Gabonese passport 83rd in terms of travel freedom according to the Henley Passport Index.
