Lima is the capital and largest city of Peru. It is located in the valleys of the Chillón, Rímac and Lurín Rivers, in the desert zone of the central coastal part of the country, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The city is considered the political, cultural, financial and commercial center of Peru. Due to its geostrategic importance, the Globalization and World Cities Research Network has categorized it as a "beta" tier city. Jurisdictionally, the metropolis extends mainly within the province of Lima and in a smaller portion, to the west, within the Constitutional Province of Callao, where the seaport and the Jorge Chávez Airport are located. Both provinces have regional autonomy since 2002.
Miraflores is a district of the Lima Province in Peru. It is a residential and upscale shopping district south of downtown Lima. It is also one of the wealthiest districts that make up the city of Lima. It has several hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and department stores. Miraflores is one of the main tourist destinations in Lima.
Cutervo National Park , established in 1961, is the oldest protected area in Peru. It is located in the northern Peruvian Andes, in the region of Cajamarca. The park was extended to 8,214 hectares (31.71 sq mi) and protects areas of Andean montane forests and paramo for headwater conservation. Moreover, those areas are the habitat of animal species like the spectacled bear, the mountain tapir, and the oilbird; and plant species like the Andean wax palms.
Presbyter Matías Maestro Cemetery, formerly the General Cemetery of Lima, is a cemetery, museum and historical monument located in the Barrios Altos neighbourhood of Lima District, in Lima, Peru. Inaugurated on May 31, 1808, it was the first pantheon in the city since burials were previously held in the city's churches. It was named in honour of its designer, Spanish priest Matías Maestro.
Luis Federico Salas-Guevara Schultz was a Peruvian politician. He was the 49th Prime Minister of Peru in 2000, being the final prime minister of President Alberto Fujimori's decade-long rule.

The Larcomar is a shopping center in the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru owned by Chilean company Parque Arauco S.A. It was opened on 27 November 1998. It is frequently visited by international tourists, as well as by locals from Miraflores and other parts of Lima. It is located on Avenida Jose Larco, and it is along the cliff next to the ocean thus the name Larcomar. The Larcomar has indoor and outdoor areas, includes a cinema, bowling lanes, a food court, museum, tourist shops, Tony Roma's, T.G.I. Friday's, and Chili's restaurants, book stores, clothing stores, and electronics stores. It is directly across the street from the Marriott hotel.
The Bogotá International Half Marathon, or mmB as it is traditionally known, is an annual road running competition over a half marathon distance taking place in Bogotá, Colombia in late July or early August, first held in 2000. The competition features both elite and popular sections within the half marathon and 10K races. Around 45,000 runners take part in the competition's events each year.

Jorge Enrique Madueño Vizurraga, better known by his stage name Pelo Madueño, is a Peruvian singer-songwriter, producer, actor, and broadcaster. He was the drummer of the rock subterráneo bands Narcosis (1984–1986) and Eructo Maldonado (1986–1988). In 1988 he joined the Miki González band as a drummer, with which he moved away from punk and ventured into pop rock. In 1992 he formed the band La Liga del Sueño as a vocalist, guitarist, and percussionist, releasing three studio albums and achieving fame at a national level. He has been a producer for bands such as Madre Matilda, Camarón Jackson, and Ves Tal Vez. After the dissolution of La Liga del Sueño in 2000, he embarked on a solo career.
Jorge Vicente Martín Muñoz Wells is a Peruvian lawyer and politician who served as mayor of Lima from January 2019 until his removal from office by the National Jury of Elections in April 2022. He previously served as mayor of Miraflores from 2011 to 2018.
