Mirka Cabrera (born 10 September 1994) is an Ecuadorian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Ecuador and competed at Miss World 2016.

Pageantry

She was elected Reina de Puerto Bolívar 2009. In 2014, she won Reina de la Minería and Reina de Machala. Also, in the same year, she competed at Reina Mundial del Banano Ecuador where she was the 1st Runner-up. [1] In 2015, Cabrera competed at Miss Ecuador where she was unplaced, and in 2016, she competed at Miss World Ecuador where she was elected the winner, at the end of the evening.

Miss World 2016

As the winner of Miss World Ecuador 2016, Cabrera represented Ecuador at Miss World 2016 that was held in the United States. She was in the top 21 in talent competition, but she failed to place in the final top at the coronation event where Stephanie Del Valle won the crown. [1]

Miss Venezuela 2010 was the 57th edition of the Miss Venezuela pageant held on October 28, 2010 at the Palacio de Eventos de Venezuela in Maracaibo, Venezuela. At the end of the event, outgoing titleholder Marelisa Gibson crowned Vanessa Gonçalves of Miranda as her successor.

Nuestra Belleza México 2010

The 17th annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Auditorio Parque Las Maravillas in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico on September 25, 2010. The State of Jalisco, won for the third consecutive year with Karin Ontiveros, who later competed in Miss Universe 2011 in Brazil. Ontiveros was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder and Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete. She was the fourth Jalisciense to win this Title. Thirty-one contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title.

Miss Ecuador 2011, the 61st Miss Ecuador pageant, was held on March 17, 2011. Claudia Schiess, from Galapagos was crowned Miss Ecuador 2011 by the outgoing titleholder Lady Mina from Guayas. The winner of Miss Ecuador represented her country at Miss Universe 2011.

Thirty-five contestants of Mexico competed for the national title, which was won by Cynthia Duque from Nuevo León who later competed in Miss Universe 2013 in Russia. Duque was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Karina González. She is the fourth Neoleonesa to win this title.

Miss World Ecuador 2013, was the 1st edition of the Miss World Ecuador held on July 4, 2013, after Miss Ecuador Organization lost the rights to send a delegate to Miss World. At the end of the night Laritza Párraga from Santo Domingo was crowned Miss World Ecuador 2013 and will compete in Miss World 2013 next September in Bali, Indonesia.

Stephanie Ysabel de Zorzi Landaeta is a Venezuelan model and beauty pageant titleholder. She represented Aragua state at Miss Venezuela 2013 pageant where she won the crown of Miss Venezuela Tierra 2013. Stephanie competed in the Miss Earth pageant 2 years after she was supposed to compete. She finished as Miss Earth - Water 2016, making history as Venezuela becomes the most successful Miss Earth - Water titleholder with five crowns after de Zorzi's win.

The 8th edition of Miss World Ecuador was held under the Conncurso Nacional de Belleza Ecuador 2020. The pageant was planned to be held on May 23, 2020 in the city of Portoviejo, Manabí; but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was cancelled and the pageant was held in a virtual selection where Ámar Pacheco resulted as the eventual winner. Ámar won the title. For obtaining the highest score in the Fast Tracks. The announcement of the results of the selection was made on the same planned date through Instagram. For very first time, the organization allows cities to be represented at the pageant. Among the contestants, the organization selected the representatives to Miss World 2020, Miss Supranational 2020, Miss Grand International 2020 and Miss Intercontinental 2020. The representatives were official crowned in a special ceremony held September 1 on “De Casa en Casa” TV show. The four contestants were previously chosen in a virtual selection due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was streaming by TC Television. Mariuxi Idrovo, Miss World Ecuador 2019, crowned her successor, Ámar Pacheco at the event. And the others representatives was crowned preceded by Justeen Cruz, Lisseth Naranjo and Paola Zamora..

Miss Ecuador 2020 was the 70th edition of the Miss Ecuador pageant. The contest was held on 17 October, 2020 at Hotel Wyndham Sail in Manta, Manabí Province. Cristina Hidalgo from Guayas Province crowned Leyla Espinoza from Los Ríos Province as her successor at the end of the event. The winner will compete at Miss Universe 2020.

Miss Ecuador 2021 was the 71st edition of the Miss Ecuador pageant. The contest was held on September 11, 2021 in Quevedo, Los Ríos. Leyla Espinoza from Los Ríos crowned her successor at the end of the event. The winner will represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2021, and the first Runner-up will compete at Miss International 2022.
