Miss Universe Great Britain 2024 was the 16th edition of the Miss Universe Great Britain pageant, held at the Riverfront Arts Centre in Newport, Wales, on 6 July 2024. [1]
This was the first contest that eliminated the upper age limit, allowing all women over the age of 18 to compete, based on the Miss Universe decision. [2]
Jessica Page of Liverpool (Miss Universe Great Britain 2023), crowned Christina Chalk of Stirling as her successor at the end of the event, becoming the first woman from Scotland to win the title. Chalk will represent Great Britain at Miss Universe 2024. [3]

Christina Chalk competed at Miss Universe Philippines 2024, and entered late into Miss Universe Great Britain. At the finals there were two contestants representing Scotland in the competition, Chalk and Alexandra Prior. [12] [13]

Miss Universe is an annual international major beauty pageant that is run by a Thailand and Mexican-based Miss Universe Organization. Along with Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Earth, it is one of the Big Four beauty pageants.
Miss Nepal is a national beauty pageant in Nepal. The winners are sent to Miss World, Miss Earth, Miss International.
Miss United Kingdom is a title held by the highest-ranked contestant from the UK in the Miss World pageant. The winner sometimes competes at Miss International and Miss Supranational the following year under the Britain, England or United Kingdom banner. The Señorita Panamá is a national beauty pageant in Panama. As of the 2024 edition, Señorita Panamá winners represent Panamá in Miss Universe. The Miss Panama brand started in 1952, when the Panamanian Institute of Tourism received an invitation from Miss Universe to send a representative. In 1975, the Señorita Panamá name was used for the first time, reverting to Miss Panama in 1976. In 1982, Señorita Panamá was created by RPC Channel 4 as an alternative to send its winners to the Miss World contest in London. Dee-Ann Kentish-Rogers is an Anguillan politician, lawyer, athlete, former model and beauty pageant titleholder. A member of the Anguilla Progressive Movement, Kentish-Rogers has served as the Minister for Education and Social Development in the government of Ellis Webster since 2020. She has also represented the constituency of Valley South in the House of Assembly since 2020. Since 2021, she has been a Millennium Fellow at the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C.
Miss International 2019, the 59th Miss International pageant, was held on November 12, 2019, at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Bunkyo district Tokyo, Japan. Mariem Velazco of Venezuela crowned her successor Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand at the end of the event.
Miss Grand United Kingdom is a female beauty pageant in the United Kingdom, founded in 2015 by a Lancashire-based pageant organizer, Pageant Girls UK, chaired by Holly Louise, who was also the UK license holder for various other international pageants such as Miss Earth, Miss International and Miss Intercontinental. The winners of the contest, which usually comprises three or four titles, including Miss Grand England, Miss Grand Wales, Miss Grand Scotland, and Miss Grand Northern Ireland, represent their countries in the international parent contest, Miss Grand International. However, as the former licensee was unable to send the elected delegates to compete in the 2019 international contest in Venezuela, the competition license was transferred to Megan Darlington in 2020, and subsequently to Kathryn Fanshawe in mid-2022.
