Mohiuddin Ahmad (popularly known as Mohammad Mohiuddin) is a Bangladeshi film director, writer and producer. [1] In 1982, he won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Director for the film Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo and in 1991 he won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Story for the film Padma Meghna Jamuna . [2]

Abdur Razzak was a Bangladeshi actor and film director. He was dubbed Nayak Raj Razzak, a term introduced by Ahmed Zaman Chowdhury, editor of the magazine Chitrali. Razzak won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor five times for his roles in the films Ki Je Kori (1976), Ashikkhito (1978), Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo (1982), Chandranath (1984) and Jogajog (1988). He was awarded the Independence Day Award in 2015 by the Government of Bangladesh. He acted in more than 300 Bengali and Urdu films and also directed 16 films. The cinema of Bangladesh, better known as Dhallywood, is the Bengali-language film industry based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It has often been a significant film industry since the early 1970s. The dominant style of Bangladeshi cinema is melodramatic cinema, which developed from 1947 to 1990 and characterizes most films to this day. Cinema was introduced in Bangladesh in 1898 by the Bradford Bioscope Company, credited to have arranged the first film release in Bangladesh. Between 1913 and 1914, the first production company, Picture House, was opened. A 1928 short silent film titled Sukumari was the first Bengali-produced film in the region. The first full-length film, The Last Kiss, was released in 1931.

Sabina Yasmin is a Bangladeshi singer. She is best known as a playback singer in Bengali cinema. She has won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer a record 14 times. She has recorded more than 1,500 songs for films and over 10,000 songs in total.

Khan Ataur Rahman

Khan Ataur Rahman was a Bangladeshi film actor, director, producer, screenplay writer, music composer, and singer, best known for his role in the film Jibon Theke Neya (1970). He received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Screenplay for the films Sujon Sokhi (1975) and Danpite Chhele (1980). He was awarded Ekushey Padak posthumously in 2003 by the Government of Bangladesh.

Anwar Hossain (actor)

Anwar Hossain was a Bangladeshi actor, best known for playing the role of Siraj ud-Daulah in the Bengali film Nawab Sirajuddaula (1967). He appeared in nearly 500 movies in his 50-year career. He received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in the film Lathial (1975) and Best Supporting Actor awards for the films again for Golapi Ekhon Traine (1978) and Dayi Ke? (1987). He is often regarded as Uncrowned Emperor of Bengali Cinema.

Bangladesh National Film Awards is a film award ceremony in Bangladesh established in 1975 by Government of Bangladesh. Every year, a national panel appointed by the government selects the winning entry, and the award ceremony is held in Dhaka. 1982 was the 7th ceremony of National Film Awards.

Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo is a 1982 Dhallywood drama film directed by famous journalist and director Mohammad Mohiuddin. This film received National Film Awards in six categories.

Saifuddin Ahmed was a Bangladeshi actor. He acted in around 400 films and over 100 television plays. He won a Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film Sundori (1979).

Padma Meghna Jamuna is a Bangladeshi National award-winning film directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam. The film was released 1991. The film produced by Mohammad Iqbal Hossain and story written by Mohammed Mohiuddin and also screenplay and dialogue by Jalaluddin Rumi. The film stars Bobita, Farooque, Champa, Bulbul Ahmed, ATM Shamsuzzaman and more. In 1991, this film received the National Film Award for the best film award including other six categories.

Amir Hossain Babu was a Bangladeshi dancer and choreographer. He earned Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Choreography a record two times for his performance in the films Beporoya (1992) and Meghla Akash (2001).

Shawkat Akbar was a Bangladeshi film actor. His career in the Bengali film industry began in 1964 with the film Eito Jibon. He is considered one of the best co-stars of the film industry of Bangladesh. From 1963 to 1995, Shawkat Akbar performed over 250 films including Bengali and Urdu language films.

Nazrul Islam Babu was a Bangladeshi lyricist. His notable songs include "Sob Kota Janala Khule Dao Na", "O Amar Aat Koti Phul" and "Ekti Bangladesh Tumi Jagroto Janotar". He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Lyrics for the film Padma Meghna Jamuna (1991).

Kazi Bashir is a Bangladeshi Cinematographer and Make-Up artist. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Cinematography for the film Ghrina (1994).

Hayre Manush Rangin Phanush is a National Award-winning song from the 1982 Bangladeshi film Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo. The song written by veteran poet Syed Shamsul Haque, composed by Alam Khan and sung by Andrew Kishore. Anwar Hossain and Prabir Mitra performed in the song.
