Mount Baldy is set in the Fishlake National Forest on the boundary that Beaver County shares with Piute County. [2] It ranks as the third-highest peak in the Tushar Mountains, [3] third-highest in each county and 77th-highest in the state. [1] Precipitation runoff from the mountain drains into the Sevier River watershed. [3] This mountain's toponym has been officially adopted by the United States Board on Geographic Names. [2]

Baldy Mountain, Baldy Peak, Mount Baldy, or Old Baldy is the highest peak in the Cimarron Range, a subrange of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of New Mexico. It is located in Colfax County, about 6 miles (10 km) northeast of Eagle Nest. It rises abruptly, with 3,640 feet (1,110 m) of vertical relief, from the Moreno Valley to the west and has a total elevation of 12,441 feet (3,792 m).
The Tushar Mountains are the third-highest mountain range in Utah after the Uinta Mountains and the La Sal Range. Located in the Fishlake National Forest, Delano Peak, 12,174 ft NAVD 88, is the highest point in both Beaver and Piute counties and has a prominence of 4,689 ft. Delano Peak is named for Columbus Delano (1809–1896), Secretary of the Interior, during the Grant administration.
