The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), also known as The Race to the Clouds, is an annual automobile hillclimb to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado, USA. The track measures 12.42 miles (19.99 km) and has over 156 turns, climbing 4,720 ft (1,440 m) from the start at Mile 7 on Pikes Peak Highway, to the finish at 14,115 ft (4,302 m), on grades averaging 7.2%. It used to consist of both gravel and paved sections, but as of August 2011, the highway is fully paved; as a result, all subsequent events will be run on asphalt from start to finish.

Thatcher Peninsula is a mountainous peninsula in north-central South Georgia. Its total area is approximately 5,640 hectares, with roughly 1,620 ha covered in vegetation. It terminates to the north in Mai Point, rising between Cumberland West Bay to the west, and Cumberland East Bay and Moraine Fjord to the east. It is bounded to the southwest and south by Lyell Glacier and Hamberg Glacier. King Edward Cove on the east side of the peninsula is the site of the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) Grytviken station and the disused whaling station of the same name.

Triton Cove State Park is a public recreation covering 30 acres (12 ha) on Triton Cove at the southeastern corner of Jefferson County, Washington. The state park has 555 feet (169 m) of saltwater shoreline on Hood Canal with facilities for picnicking, docking, diving, fishing, crabbing, and shellfish harvesting.
Chinstrap Cove is a cove 6 km (3.7 mi) north-east of Escarpada Point on the north-west coast of Clarence Island, South Shetland Islands, Antarctica entered northeast of Vaglen Point. The cove has been identified as an Important Bird Area (IBA) by BirdLife International because it supports a large breeding colony of about 20,000 pairs of chinstrap penguins, after which it was named by the UK Joint Services Expedition which visited the site in 1970–1971. The 74 ha IBA includes the ice-free area south of the cove, extending 2 km along the coast.
Cove Rock is a low offshore rock 3 nautical miles (6 km) west of North Foreland, King George Island, in the South Shetland Islands. It was charted by Discovery Investigations in 1937 and called descriptively Cone Rock; the spelling Cove Rock, likely through error in transcription, appeared in a Hydrographic Office publication in 1942, and became established.
Suárez Glacier also known as Petzval Glacier is a glacier flowing into the small cove between Skontorp Cove and Sturm Cove on the west coast of Graham Land. It was first mapped by Scottish geologist David Ferguson in 1913–14. The 5th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1950–51) remapped it and named it for Lieutenant Commander Francisco Suárez V., Operations Officer on the transport ship Angamos.
Captains Cove is a census-designated place in Accomack County, Virginia. Per the 2020 census, the population was 1,544. Known as Captain's Cove Golf & Yacht Club, it is a recreational community located on the west shore of Chincoteague Bay, bordering Maryland to the north. While numerous families with children live here, it's largely a retirement community, with a median age of 51 and the largest age group being 60–64.
