Muziektheater Transparant is a Flemish theatre company founded in 1994. They produce music theatre and their own versions of operas. The artistic directors are Guy Coolen and Wouter Van Looy. Among the past and current composers in residence are Wim Henderickx, Jan Van Outryve, Eric Sleichim (of Bl!ndman  [ nl ]), Liesa Van der Aa  [ nl ] and Annelies Van Parys.

Contents

Transparant, which has its office and rehearsal room in Matterhorn (Antwerp), brings artists and ensembles together. It is strong internationally oriented and delivers productions with artistic and social relevance for a large audience.

Collegium 1704 is a Czech early music orchestra and choir founded in 2005 by the Czech conductor, harpsichordist, and horn player Václav Luks. The Collegium Vocale 1704 is the affiliated vocal ensemble. Since 2007, the ensemble has been making regular guest appearances at festivals and concert halls all over Europe: the Salzburger Festspiele, the Berliner Philharmonie, London’s Wigmore Hall, Vienna’s Theater an der Wien and Konzerthaus, the Lucerne Festival, BOZAR in Brussels, the Chopin Festival in Warsaw, Wratislavia Cantans, and the Elbphilharmonie, and it is an ensemble-in-residence at the festival Oude Muziek in Utrecht and at the Leipzig Bachfest. The Toneelschrijfprijs is an annual literary award awarded to the playwrights of a Dutch-language play that debuted in the preceding season. The award ceremony is held in either Flanders or the Netherlands. The winner of the prize receives €10,000. The prize was first awarded in 1988 as the Nederlands-Vlaamse Toneelschrijfprijs.
