The NSU University School, commonly known as University School or simply U-School, is a fully accredited, independent, college preparatory school in Davie, Florida, that serves grades pre-K through grade 12. The school is located on the Nova Southeastern University (NSU) campus. It is divided into "Lower", "Middle", and "Upper" schools, respectively representing national elementary, middle and high school divisions. NSU University School also has a preschool that provides early care and education for children 18 months through four years. Over the summer, NSU University School offers Camp Nova, a variety of summer programs for students from preschool through grade 11. In 2015 William J. Kopas became its headmaster, replacing Jerome Chermak who had served in that role for 16 years. [1]

Nova High School is a public high school located in Davie, Florida and is part of the Broward County Public Schools district. It is one of four schools that comprise the Nova Center for Applied Research and Professional Development, the others being Nova Eisenhower Elementary School, Nova Blanche Forman Elementary School, and Nova Middle School. Nova Eisenhower Elementary, the newest of the three lower schools, began in downtown Fort Lauderdale, in the old Fort Lauderdale High School building, while the current facility was being built in Davie.

Vanguard High School is one of seven public high schools in Marion County, Florida. The school serves the northeast area of Ocala, Florida. Vanguard offers the International Baccalaureate program, which accepts students from across Marion County and from surrounding counties and accounts for approximately 25% of the student population. In addition to the IB Program, Vanguard High School is the home of the Future Educators Academy. Graduates of the Future Educators Academy have the opportunity to dual enroll and complete their AA degree upon high school graduation.

Rodney Strickland is an American basketball coach and former professional basketball player. He is currently the head coach at Long Island University. Prior to LIU, he served as the program manager for the NBA G League's professional path. Strickland played college basketball at DePaul University, where he was awarded All-American honors. He had a long career in the National Basketball Association (NBA), playing from 1988 to 2005. Strickland was an assistant coach for the South Florida Bulls, under Orlando Antigua from 2014 to 2017. He formerly served in an administrative role for the University of Kentucky basketball team under head coach John Calipari and was the director of basketball operations at the University of Memphis under Calipari. He is the godfather of current NBA player Kyrie Irving. Strickland was inducted into the New York City Basketball Hall of Fame with the Class of 2008.

He played high school basketball in Fresno, California, at San Joaquin Memorial High School. Pondexter played four years of college basketball at the University of Washington. At the end of his senior season, he earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors and an All-American honorable mention by the Associated Press.

Calvin Anthony Duncan is an American pastor and retired basketball player. Duncan is pastor at the Faith & Family Church in Richmond, Virginia. He also played basketball with Oak Hill Academy and the Virginia Commonwealth University Rams. He was drafted in the 1985 NBA draft in the 2nd round with the 30th overall pick by the Chicago Bulls but instead of signing, he joined Athletes in Action, an evangelical Christian traveling team.
