Tara Pacheco van Rijnsoever is a Spanish sports sailor. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's 470 class with Berta Betanzos. At the 2016 Olympics, she and Fernando Echavarri competed in the Nacra 17 class.

Sailing competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo took place from 25 July to 4 August 2021 at the Enoshima Yacht Harbor in Enoshima. The venue was also used for the 1964 Olympic Games although significantly regenerated, the IOC now encouraging regeneration, cost reductions and sustainability. The RS:X, Laser, Laser Radial, Finn, 470, 49er, 49erFX, and Nacra17 are all returning for 2020; there are no significant changes to the Olympic programme from 2016.

The Star European Championships are international sailing regattas in the Star class. The championships are open to sailors of all nationalities.

Nacra 17 World Championship is an annual World Championship sailing regatta in the Nacra 17 class organised by the Nacra 17 Class.

The Nacra 15 is a performance catamaran used for racing. It went into production in 2015. It was designed as a smaller version of the Olympic multihull class, the Nacra 17.

Ruggero Tita is an Italian sailor. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics and 2024 Summer Olympics, with Caterina Banti, in Nacra 17, winning two gold medals.

The ILCA European Championships, until 2020 the Laser European Championships, are annual European Championship sailing regattas in the Laser and Laser Radial classes organised by the EurILCA.

49er & 49er FX European Championships are annual European Championship sailing regattas in the 49er and the 49er FX classes organised by the International 49er Class Association.

The Finn European Championship is an annual European Championship sailing regatta in the Finn (dinghy) classes organised by the International Finn Association.
