Nemiah Emmanuel Simms (born 28 March 2004), known professionally as Nemzzz, is a British rapper from Manchester. He gained recognition in 2021 with the tracks "Elevate" and "2MS". He released his first mixtape Do Not Disturb in 2024, which debuted at number 17 on the UK Albums Chart.

Early life

Nemiah Emmanuel Simms was born in Manchester, England and was raised in the Gorton area. His mother and uncle were beatmakers and his father was a reggae and bashment singer. Simms is of Jamaican descent. [1]

Career

2018–2023: Beginnings and Nemzzz Type Beat

Nemzzz began rapping in 2018 by practising with YouTube instrumentals. His first viral track "Elevate" released in November 2021 and received a music video from GRM Daily. Nemzzz followed up with the song "2MS" in February 2022 which garnered further attention. [2] He collaborated with Stay Flee Get Lizzy and Knucks on the November 2022 song "No Refunds". [3] He continued a steady stream of single releases until the May 2023 EP Nemzzz Type Beat. [4]

2023–present: Do Not Disturb

In October 2023, Nemzzz released the track "Money and Vibes", the first single to his debut mixtape. [5] He followed up with the track "8AM In Manny" in November, which gained him a cosign from Drake. [6] Another song, "Therapy", was released in December. [7] In February 2024, the mixtape Do Not Disturb was announced alongside the release of the single "L's". [8] The track "PTSD" was released in the same month. [9] On 15 March 2024, Do Not Disturb was released with features from Luciano and JayG. Three days later, a deluxe edition with additional features from K-Trap, Headie One, and Lil Yachty released. [10] [11] The mixtape debuted at number 17 on the UK Albums Chart and number one on the UK R&B Albums Chart. [12]

Their name originated after being co-signed by Jadakiss, resulting in Jadakiss launching the European staple of his record label D-Block Records, creating D-Block Europe. Devonte Kasi Martin Perkins, better known by his stage name K-Trap, is a British rapper and songwriter from South London. "Killa Killa" is an upbeat hip hop track with caribbean and afrobeat influences. His first mixtape Wild West was released on 12 March 2021, which debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart. His second mixtape 23 was released on 25 February 2022 and debuted atop the UK Albums Chart.

Rhys Angelo Emile Herbert, known professionally as Digga D, is a UK drill artist. He rose to fame in 2017 along with his UK drill collective CGM. His mixtapes Double Tap Diaries and Made In The Pyrex reached No. 10 and 3 on the UK Albums Chart, respectively. His third mixtape Noughty By Nature was released on 15 April 2022, debuting at number one on the UK Albums Chart. His fourth mixtape Back To Square One was released in August 2023.

"No Time" is a song by British YouTuber and rapper KSI from his second studio album, All Over the Place (2021). The song features a guest appearance from American rapper Lil Durk. The song was written by the two rappers alongside its producers S-X, Diego Ave, Chambers and Mally Mall. The song was released for digital download and streaming by RBC Records and BMG on 16 July 2021 upon the release of the album. "No Time" is a hip hop and trap song.

Noughty by Nature is the third commercial mixtape by British rapper Digga D. It was released on 15 April 2022 by CGM. It features guest appearances from Still Brickin', Rack5, Dodgy, Horrid1, AJ Tracey, and Maverick Sabre, and American rappers B-Lovee, Moneybagg Yo, and Hotboii. The extended edition adds a further guest appearance from Arrdee. The mixtape debuted atop the UK Albums Chart, becoming Digga D's first number-one album.

Hodifa Abdalla Elshabli, known professionally as Geko, is a British rapper and singer from Manchester. He is best known for singles such as "6:30" and "New Money" which charted on the UK Singles Chart and were certified by the BPI.

In December 2022, Clavish earned his first UK Top 10 with the D-Block Europe-assisted "Rocket Science" which peaked at number 9 on the UK Singles Chart. His first mixtape Rap Game Awful released on 13 January 2023 and debuted at number 4 on the UK Albums Chart.

Kwengface is a British drill rapper. He began his rap career in 2015 as part of the Peckham-based Zone 2 collective. He released his debut solo mixtape, YPB: Tha Come Up, in 2020.
