Amor a la Mexicana is the fifth studio album by Mexican singer Thalía, released on 24 June 1997, by EMI Latin. Recorded in the Crescent Moon Studios, Miami, with producers Emilio Estefan, Kike Santander, Bernardo Ossa, Pablo Flores, Roberto Blades and Javier Garza, the album blends a variety of genres bits of cumbia, salsa, and balladry.
"Reach" is a 1996 song by Cuban American singer-songwriter Gloria Estefan. It is co-written by Estefan with Diane Warren and was one of two official songs of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, US. The single was included on the official Atlanta 96 album, Rhythm of the Games, and later on Estefan's seventh studio album, Destiny. The song peaked within the Top 10 in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Norway and Spain. In the UK, it peaked at number 15. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Reach" reached number 47 in June 1996. Outside Europe, it peaked at number 23 in Australia and number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US. It was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the ceremony in 1997 but lost out to Toni Braxton's "Un-Break My Heart", which was also written by Diane Warren.
Grandes Éxitos is a greatest hits album by Mexican singer Luis Miguel. Released on 22 November 2005 by Warner Music Latina, the album features 24 previously-recorded songs from Miguel's career with his record label as well as two new songs ; both songs were released as singles from the album. A special edition of the record was also released and features six extra songs as well as a DVD containing music videos from Miguel's career. Grandes Éxitos received a favorable review by AllMusic critic, Thom Jurek who commended Miguel's trajectory as an artist. Commercially, it reached number one in Mexico and the top ten in Argentina, Spain, Portugal, and the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart in the United States. It was certified Multi-Platinum in Mexico and the United States (Latin) and Platinum in Spain.

It was co-produced by Santander and Emilio Estefan and features Cuban-American singer Gloria Estefan. It was released as the second single from Me Estoy Enamorando by Sony Music Mexico in 1997. The song is a pop ballad and portrays both singers falling in love, as if the love blossomed from a garden. A music video featuring both artists was made for the track.

Gogo Muñoz, also wrote Hernández' debut single titled "El Hombre Que Yo Amo", a top ten single in the aforementioned chart in 1989. All the singles released from the album Dos were international hits that spent several weeks at number-one of the rankings in Latin America. This album also marked a record in the Latin Pop Albums in the United States by staying at number-one for 18 consecutive weeks. The music video for the song was produced by Luis De Llano and received a nomination for the Billboard Best Latin Video award.

The Barrio Boyzz were an American Latin pop group. The group was made up of Puerto Ricans who grew up in New York City. They gained popularity during the 1990s, when they became label-mates with Selena Quintanilla then landed their first Billboard number-one song entitled "Donde Quiera Que Estés" in 1993, from the album of the same name.
The discography of American Latin rap band The Barrio Boyzz consists of seven studio albums, five compilation albums, one holiday album, fourteen singles and four music videos. The Barrio Boyzz was formed in 1991 by Joe Jacket, who proposed creating a mainstream Latino group. They auditioned for chairman of EMI Records, Charles Koppelman, who signed the group to its sister label SBK Records. The group's debut album, Crazy Coolin' (1992), failed to make any impact on music charts, but its lead single "Muy Suavemente" peaked at number 36 on the US Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart. Their second studio album, Donde Quiera Que Estes (1994) reached the top 20 on Billboard's Latin charts. The album spawned three singles; "Cerca De Ti" and "Te Amaré", which peaked at number one and number 16 on the Hot Latin Tracks, respectively. The titular single, a duet with American Tejano pop singer Selena, peaked at number one and was logged atop the Hot Latin Tracks chart for six consecutive weeks.
