Irving is a city in the U.S. state of Texas. Located in Dallas County, it is also an inner ring suburb of Dallas. The city of Irving is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. According to a 2019 estimate from the United States Census Bureau, the city population was 239,798 making it the thirteenth-most populous city in Texas, and 93rd most populous city in the U.S. Irving is noted for its racial and ethnic diversity, and has been ranked as one of the most diverse cities in the United States. Irving includes the Las Colinas mixed-use master-planned community and part of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

Due to its central location between Dallas and Fort Worth and its proximity to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field airport, Las Colinas has been a focus of corporate and business relocation. Greenhill School is a co-educational day school in Addison, Texas, United States. The school was founded in 1950 by Bernard Fulton. The 78-acre (320,000 m2) campus is located 12 miles (19 km) north of downtown Dallas, Texas and enrolls about 1,270 students from throughout the Dallas Metroplex. Uplift Education is a public charter school network, which was founded as the North Hills Preparatory School in Irving, Texas, in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Uplift was founded in 1996 by Rosemary Perlmeter, as one of the state of Texas' first charter schools. In 2005, Uplift Education founded its first urban campus, creating Uplift Atlas Preparatory in Old East Dallas. As of 2019, Uplift Education serves over 18,000 students in 20 schools in Dallas and Tarrant Counties. Uplift Education is a system of college preparatory schools that has an extended school day, and all Uplift schools are International Baccalaureate authorized, or are on track for IB authorization. As of the 2016 school year 100% of graduates were accepted into college for the 8th year in a row.

Victory Preparatory Academy or Victory Prep (VPREP) was a charter school in Houston, Texas that had two campuses: one in the city's south, Victory Preparatory Academy South; and a northern campus, Victory Preparatory Academy North. The system all together served grades K-12 and was operated by the nonprofit organization Management Accountability Corp. It closed in 2018.
