Nouns is the first studio album by American noise rock duo No Age. It was (partly) recorded at Southern Studios in London. The album was leaked onto the internet on April 16, 2008, and subsequently released by Sub Pop on May 6, 2008. On May 5, it earned a 9.2/10 rating from Pitchfork Media; and is the website's joint highest-reviewed original release of 2008 (along with Dear Science by TV on the Radio and Microcastle by Deerhunter). The album ranked third in Pitchfork Media's list of the top 50 albums of 2008, and was listed at number 50 on Rolling Stone's list of the best albums of 2008.
Nouns was released on LP, CD, and via download. The CD version features a 68-page full-color booklet with art, photos, lyrics and information about the release. [2] The album was nominated for a Grammy in the category Best Recording Package.

The album received many positive reviews (as indicated by its Metacritic score of 79); "Teen Creeps" was also mentioned as one of the bright spots on the album. In particular, Spin cited "Teen Creeps" as "adding Superchunky pop riffs to their relentless punk vigor". [13]

Rounds is the third solo album by British electronic musician Kieran Hebden, released under his alias Four Tet on 5 May 2003 by Domino Recording Company. Wanting to make a more personal record, Hebden recorded and produced the album in his North London flat over ten months using a desktop computer and a home hi-fi system. Its ten tracks feature elements of hip hop, jazz and folk; apart from a guitar part recorded for "Slow Jam", the music is composed from between 200 and 300 samples, many processed beyond recognition.

Twelve is the tenth studio album by Patti Smith, released April 17, 2007 on Columbia Records. The album contains twelve tracks, all of which are covers. It debuted on the Billboard 200 at number 60, with 11,000 copies sold in its first week. Drag City also released Goons Be Gone, their fifth studio album, on June 5, 2020, and their sixth studio album People Helping People in 2022.

"Eraser" is the first single from Los Angeles-based band No Age's second album, Nouns. It was released on Sub Pop on April 8, 2008 on the 7" Single format. It features 4 tracks, of which only one is an original song. According to Pitchfork Media, the covers came about when the band were trapped in their car during a snowstorm for 14 hours. During that time, they taught themselves to play the songs.
Microcastle is the third album by Deerhunter. After the album had been leaked on the internet, it became available on iTunes on August 19, 2008, while physical copies were released on October 27, 2008. In the U.S. the album was released on Kranky and on 4AD in Europe. The album was recorded over the course of one week in April 2008 by Nicolas Vernhes at Rare Book Room Studios in Brooklyn, NY. In the U.S., the album has managed to sell over 50,000 units.
