The fourth season of Numbers , an American television series, first aired on September 28, 2007 and ended on May 16, 2008. Because of the Writers Guild of America strike, only 12 episodes were initially produced for this season. Following the end of the strike, six more were announced.

The first season of Numbers, an American television series, premiered on January 23, 2005 and finished on May 13, 2005. The first season sees the start of the working relationship between Don Eppes, an FBI agent, and his genius brother Charlie, an applied mathematician and professor at a local university. The rest of Don's FBI team consists of Terry Lake and David Sinclair. Don and Charlie's father, Alan Eppes, provides emotional support for the pair, while the brilliant Professor Larry Fleinhardt and promising doctoral student Amita Ramanujan provide mathematical support and insights to Charlie.
The second season of Numbers, an American television series, premiered on September 23, 2005, and its season finale was on May 19, 2006. Season two sees several changes to Don's FBI team: Terry Lake is reassigned to Washington DC and two new members join Don and David Sinclair: Megan Reeves and Colby Granger. Charlie is challenged on one of his long-standing pieces of mathematical work and also starts work on a new theory, Cognitive Emergence Theory. Larry sells his home and lives a nomadic lifestyle, while he becomes romantically involved with Megan. Amita receives an offer for an assistant professor position at Harvard University but is plagued by doubt as her relationship with Charlie is challenged and her career is in upheaval. Alan begins working and dating again, though he struggles with the loss of his wife.
The third season of CSI: NY originally aired on CBS between September 2006 and May 2007. It consisted of 24 episodes. Its regular time slot continued on Wednesdays at 10pm/9c.
The fourth season of CSI: NY originally aired on CBS between September 2007 and May 2008. It consisted of 21 episodes, only 14 of which were completed before the Writer's Strike. Seven more episodes were made after the strike, and they began airing in April 2008. Its regular time slot continued on Wednesdays at 10pm/9c.
The eighth season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation premiered on CBS on September 27, 2007, and ended May 15, 2008. The season stars William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger.
The sixth season of CSI: Miami premiered on CBS on September 24, 2007 and ended May 19, 2008. The series stars David Caruso and Emily Procter.
The fifth season of Two and a Half Men originally aired on CBS from September 24, 2007, to May 19, 2008. A total of only 19 episodes were aired due to the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike. Unlike the previous seasons, the Season 5 DVD came without a gag reel. The DVD also titled "Tight's Good" as "Shoes, Hats, Pickle Jar Lids", and the "Previously on Two and a Half Men" recap seen in the original broadcast of "Fish in a Drawer" was initially not included on DVD. This was the shortest season in the history of the show until the eighth season ended after 16 episodes due to the firing of Charlie Sheen.

The sixth season of Two and a Half Men began on September 22, 2008, and concluded on May 18, 2009 on CBS.
The third season of Numbers, an American television series, premiered on September 22, 2006 with the episode "Spree" and had its season finale "The Janus List" on May 18, 2007. Charlie and Amita intensify their relationship, as do Larry and Megan. Amita has troubles adjusting in her new role as a CalSci professor, and Larry announces his leave of absence—he will be on the space station for six months, which greatly distresses Charlie. Dr. Mildred Finch, the newly appointed Chair of the CalSci Physics, Mathematics, and Astronomy Division, initially troubles Charlie and his colleagues, as Alan dates her. Don dates Agent Liz Warner, questions his ethics and self-worth, and receives counseling. Charlie sees Don's therapist and the two understand one another more. Alan engages in some FBI consulting with his knowledge of engineering, and Larry returns from the space station, although disillusioned. The finale wraps up with a revelation that shakes the whole team.
The third season of Criminal Minds premiered on CBS on September 26, 2007 and ended May 21, 2008. The third season was originally to have featured 25 episodes; however, only 13 were completed before the Writers Guild of America strike (2007–08). Seven more episodes were produced after the strike, bringing the total number of episodes to 20 for the third season. Mandy Patinkin wanted to leave the series, since he loathed the violent nature of it. He was replaced by Joe Mantegna several episodes later.
The first season of the American television sitcom The Big Bang Theory aired on CBS from September 24, 2007 to May 19, 2008. The Season 1 DVD came without a gag reel and is, so far, the only Big Bang Theory DVD set not to have one. The reissued Blu-ray, which was released on July 10, 2012, includes a gag reel that is exclusive to the set. The episodes on Blu-ray are all in remastered surround sound, whereas the DVD version had stereo. Two of the main characters, Sheldon and Leonard, are named after actor, director, and producer Sheldon Leonard.
The second season of the American television sitcom The Big Bang Theory aired on CBS from September 22, 2008 to May 11, 2009. A DVD consisting of all 23 episodes of the season was released on September 15, 2009, and a Blu-ray version was reissued on July 10, 2012, with remastered surround sound audio, whereas the DVD version only had stereo.
The third season of Ghost Whisperer, an American television series created by John Gray, commenced airing in the United States on September 28, 2007, concluded May 16, 2008, and was originally intended to consist of 22 episodes. However, due to the Writer's Strike, it was shortened to 18 episodes. The series follows the life of Melinda Gordon, who has the ability to see and communicate with ghosts. While trying to live as normal a life as possible—she is married and owns an antique store—Melinda helps earthbound spirits resolve their problems and cross over into the Light, or the spirit world. Her tasks are difficult and at times she struggles with people who push her away and disbelieve her ability. In addition, the ghosts are mysterious and sometimes menacing in the beginning and Melinda must use the clues available to her to understand the spirit's needs and help them.
The fifth season of Cold Case, an American television series, began airing on CBS on September 23, 2007 and concluded on May 4, 2008. Season five regular cast members include Kathryn Morris, Danny Pino, John Finn, Thom Barry, Jeremy Ratchford and Tracie Thoms. This season was originally scheduled to air 24 episodes, but due to the Writer's Strike only 18 episodes were produced and aired. The season also includes the series' 100th episode, "World's End".
The second season of the American television comedy series Rules of Engagement premiered on September 24, 2007, and concluded on May 19, 2008. It consists of 15 episodes, each running approximately 22 minutes in length. CBS broadcast the second season on Mondays at 9:30 pm in the United States. No new episodes of the program aired between December and March, due to the 2007-2008 Writers Guild of America strike.
