OK TV was a Czech television channel, launched in 2024. It started broadcast on 16 May 2024. It is described as entertainment-lifestyle and music television. [1] It focuses on positive programming without violence and without reports focused on war conflicts or other negative events. [2]
OK TV was owned by OK TV Music Television Company. It received license to broadcast in December 2023 [3] and started preparing launch for May 2024. [4] New channel was introduced to public on 7 May 2024. It introduced 20 programs of its own production and main faces of the channel that include Šárka Vaňková, Alice Bendová, Pavel Anděl, Martin Dejdar, Aleš Cibulka, Miloš Knor or Eva Decastelo. [5] Launch of the new channel was set for 16 May 2024. Management of the channel announced plans to get 2% share of the market. [5]
Channel started broadcast on 16 May 2024. The main distribution channels was all-area DVB-T2 multiplex 24 of the Digital Broadcasting company. OK TV has signed a contract with five operator companies: SledováníTV, PODA, Lepší.TV, Antik Telekom and Grape SC. OK TV is discussing terms with Vodafone. [2]

Czech Television is a public television broadcaster in the Czech Republic, broadcasting six channels. Established after breakup of Czechoslovakia in 1992, it is the successor to Czechoslovak Television founded in 1953.
Television stations in Slovakia broadcast in both DVB-T format and DVB-T2 format. Broadcasting is mostly in the Slovak, state-owned channels have some dedicated broadcasting for ethnic minorities. Foreign language movies and shows are dubbed. Czech production is often broadcast in original, with the exception of juvenile programs. Sometimes, foreign language movies are broadcast with Czech dubbing. Czech television channels are also popular in Slovakia, received in paid DVB-T2 service, directly in border regions or carried by cable companies and satellite operators. Most of premium channels like Filmbox, HBO, Viasat Channels, etc. broadcast only in Czech. Discovery, Sport 1, Sport 2 and few others are exception, they broadcast in both Czech and Slovak.
Český rozhlas is the public radio broadcaster of the Czech Republic operating continuously since 1923. It is the oldest national radio broadcaster in continental Europe and the second oldest in Europe after the BBC. Český rozhlas was established in 1992 by the Czech Radio Act, which sets out the framework for its operation and financing.
